Had lunch yesterday at Hometaste-HK. My entire meal was cold….Roast pork and duck along with rice bok choy and hoisin sauce….that’s right folks even the hoisin sauce was straight from the fridge! Steamed rice, generally is always hot…not this stuff (maybe I was eating yesterday’s rice…seriously)! Overall, shows a lack of concern or detail over what they’re plating….lazy.

Stopped in for the dim sum for a friend's birthday. Servers were very polite and attentive. Food portions were quite large and prices were reasonable but everything was somewhat less flavorful than most dim sum places I've tried.

Food is good when the restaurant is not busy. When there’s a lot of people the food tastes different and not seasoned well and not cooked properly. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Our favorite Asian restaurant in the cities. The charsu pork is better than that other place everyone who knows about bbq pork knows. The duck is awesome as is the ducksauce. The Japanese tofu I now almost have to order two plates of as it’s the family favorite. Do yourself a favor and try this place. Especially the fried green beans that my daughter eats a whole plate of each time. Hands down best Chinese food in town! Staff is always great too! We been coming here ever since they opened for the best of the best. Chow fun also great!

Went to Hometaste after an unpleasant interaction with another restaurant at Asia Mall. They were very accommodating of our large group. We love the salty fish fried rice, chow fun and eggplant in garlic sauce. The kitchen can be a bit slow at times but the service and food make up for it.

Fishball soup with tasteless broth and tasteless fishballs; broccoli in watery soy sauce; duck overpowered by five-spice; the xiaolongbao were OK. Good for someone who likes weak flavors.

Celebrated a 70th birthday...the service was not good..there were six of us and the food was not all served at one time...some of us had been eating quite awhile before everyone got served. Their dishes were vegetarian. We got on check and was never asked how we wanted to split up. Portions were very generous ...

Stumbled on this joint within a small mall like facility. We had the cabbage soup and tofu panfried. Service was very professional.

BBQ pork, Chinese broccoli, shrimp and chive dumplings are all delicious :) Great service.

Great food comes with tea free which is rare. Dishes large enough to feed two and fast kind service. I enjoy the Asia mall atmosphere but admit it might not be for everyone.

I had a wonderful time with my daughters on Monday, and the service was wonderful. They were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, and so was my drink. I liked that they offered hot tea and water right away, which many places I go to don't offer, and they ask you what to order. But here, wow, wonderful service. They asked how everything was like 3 times, refilling our water. Every time they reached for it, my glass was half full.
