After a long week, I was absolutely stoked to receive an invitation to dinner with my favorite host. Even better? We're going to my favorite Indian spot in the state. We started off with the vegetable platter, which features three delicious vegetarian appetizers. In addition to vegetable pakoras and samosas, there was bhajita, spinach and onion stuffed potato wedges. These came with delicious little cups of chutney--one mint and one tamarind. This appetizer was a hit, even for the most devoted carnivore in the party. We also tried the pashwari naan--it's a sweet naan that is filled with coconut and golden raisins. My mom in particular loved it. It would be a wonderful foil for a spicy curry. For our mains, mom ordered the kebab, which came with dal (we picked the golden lentil dal, and I might possibly have had "just a taste" several times. (Verdict: it's yummy!) I ordered the paneer chili balti, a comforting balti that is sweet, savory, and salty with warming spices. The rice was also exactly right--fluffy, perfectly salted, and just the right texture. We also got the mango chutney, which is a tart, sweet, salty, savory, amazing flavor bomb. Try it at least once. For dessert, we shared the kulfee and ras malai. These aren't on the menu at every Indian restaurant, and since first having tried them (at India Palace, in fact), I know that they'll always be my first choice when I see them, especially the kulfee. Holy wow. As usual, the service was great--friendly, attentive, prompt, and helpful, the staff here makes sure you get what you need. Despite the fairly full house, it was easy to have a conversation. This is a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. The music is quiet, the decor interesting, and the seating comfortable. All in all, the cure for a bad week!

First off, order for pickup and did not receive napkin or forks... I got the chicken Biryani and it was the worst I have ever had. The chicken was completely flavorless, my least favorite kind of chicken. They Biryani had white rice hidden inside which confirms it was not made in the authentic way. I could not finish the food. This was a major let down. Save your money, skip this one.

We ate at India Palace twice recently while on business in the area. The first was carryout and we thought it was very good. The second was a dine-in and was even better. I wanted to highlight the chili naan and the Balti dishes. We were only loosely familiar with Balti dishes and thought we should try it since they feature a full selection. This was outstanding. We selected Mushroom Balti with chicken. It has plenty of tomato-based gravy that is richly flavored with enough tartness to give it backbone and just enough sweetness to give it balance. They do a nice job with the chili naan by using plenty of fresh chile. We had a great meal.

I cant speak to the authenticity of everything but the food has always been amazing. Try it if you haven't. Chicken makhani / butter chicken is my favorite, paneer naan

01.2023Another visit after 6 years. Same good old taste. Still run by same Panjabi family. Perfect place to have North India style meal.09.21.16Again after 6 month, same taste, same outstanding experience. I am increasing my rating to 4 star now..........03.15.16What a place. Really tasty North Indian style food. Ask for their Malai Kofta with Regular Parath (not in the menu, but they will make you one) and you will realize that this is one of the best you have ever tasted.Nice location, good number of hotels within 2-3 miles. Large Parking.Keep it up.

Food is good but like 3 of 5 good.Staff is friendly like 5 of five but when you're a waitress thats what you are supposed to do.The atmosphere I am giving a two because they used to have a lunch buffet before covid and that started like 3 to four years ago, I feel that it is time to go back to normal'ish again; even if there is a learning curve or new limitations, I would not care if the buffet had a staff member doing the laddle serving onto the plate but I would like the option; even if it was only certain days of the week or only on the weekends, it used to be really special. The location is great! it is in a strip mall so I imagine it gets double the business by being in a good area, it is next to chase and wells fargo bank, lunds&B grocery.I had a nice dining experience with family and we were happy with the flavor and portions of what we ordered, there was no wait time for a table. This is good tasting indian food in a nice restaurant setting, just a pitty that the whole business could be a smash, maybe they can try something new like happy hour& buffet, or kareoke hour and buffet.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian plates available,

This is my super favorite restaurant in this area. I can’t leave Chaska, MN without having a bite at this place. The food is delicious, I have tried a variety of curries and bread here, these are mouth watering and yummy - Paneer makkhani, kadi, garlic naan and aloo parantha to name a few. Their lunch thali is a must try. I will visit this place every time ?Highly recommend for people who like to try flavorful and spicy food.
