We've had good experiences at other Kyotos in the Twin Cities, but this one is not good. The restaurant design is awkward. The build is in bad shape. The lighting is dark/wierd. The bathrooms are dirty. The service was passable, though. On the good side, we did largely like our food! Unfortunately, we both left the place thinking, it tasted decent, but I hope I don't get sick...and we won't be back to this one.

I probably came on a bad night but everyone’s mood was sour and it affected my time spent here. The waiter that served me and my bf also kept getting my order wrong and forgot about one of my dishes. Food was good though, it was just the people that worked there that made it a horrible experience.

Ate there with a friend and compared to the other locations, this one was the best. Incredible service and food! It's a little far for me, but I'll be back!

They had an amazing selection for all you could eat and it was lunch so it was only $25. Based on the regular menu I ate around $50 worth of food so I definitely got my moneys worth. the food is made fresh to order and the food is very fresh. The staff is really nice and the restaurant has a very cool vibe. My family and I had a really good time.

Terrible experience. Got there about 9, got pressured to order because they said last call to order was 9:20. So we ordered our done, then about ten after 9, they turned off the music, started very lovely bussing tables, and mopping the floor right next to our table. Our server was very unapologetic, and basically kept telling us they were closing. We finally said, we will be happy to get out of your way if you will allow us to take our food to go (we ordered all you can eat ). He checked with the manager, who said no. We thought we'd be doing them a favor....we were complaining that if was rushing up and making tggmgptdpw unpleasant, and his answer was simply, well I said last call was 9:20. (In our minds, and at any other establishment, that means that's when they stop taking orders. That's what last call means ). He also gave the excuse that ' some of our staff have to drive far'. Okay......? That doesn't change the hours of your establishment! I have never had such an unpleasant experience. Not to mention, even the hostess was unprofessional when we walked I'm the door. When she walked us to the table, she tossed the menus on the table, didn't even look back or slow down, and just kept right on walking. They all seemed to be around 20 years old, with no supervision or direction. Save your money. Worst service and only mediocre food.
Food never came to our table and husband was served 40 mins before me.Coming back to this review I posted in January of 2023, we dined February 15 2024 and had the exact same experience. We waited 45 mins for a table, my husband waited 40 minutes for his food and I was not served until we asked for the bill to leave. We will not be returning.

Came in for the Valentine's Day special of $33.99 per. The service was very slow and the food was not fresh. Based off of the reviews I expected better. Two employees were on their phone. In comparison to other Kyotos we've been too, this one unfortunately was the worst.
