My partner and I stopped in for a meal before going to a movie. We tried both the empanadas Areba and the fried plantain and it was really really tasty. The service was great. The restaurant was clean. We plan to go back.

Whoever left the 1-star is just wrong. I've traveled most of the US and LATAM, this is some of the best Venezuelan food I've had.
I bring everybody I know here and they are always blown away.
Also, I miss you guys and hope you are doing well.

So sad that we don’t have any good Venezuelan restaurants in Minnesota. I’ve tried pretty much all of them, and they’ve all been disappointing.
This one, as soon as you walk in, smells like grease and burnt oil. I mean, they had just opened and it already smelled like they had fried hundreds of empanadas. I walked out smelling greasy myself.
The food was also very greasy. We had empanadas con carne molida, and they felt like a bad Colombian empanada. The outside wasn’t crunchy, and the meat was plain ground beef with no seasoning at all.
The tequeños were great.
The cachapa wasn’t that bad, but it lacked flavor and needed better, saltier cheese.
The service was mediocre. The waitress knocked over my drink and didn’t even offer to replace it. She later came back to clean the table with some type of cleaning product while we were still eating, and the smell was so strong it made the food taste even worse.
The place looked dirty and definitely needs a better ventilation system. Please!!
This was our second time coming here. The first time wasn’t good at all, but we thought maybe they were just having a bad day, so we decided to give it another try. Never again.
I really wish we had better Venezuelan places near the Twin Cities. We recently went to Crasqui Restaurant in St. Paul, and it was also bad. Arepas on the Go was bad, Clandestino’s was bad, and the best one so far has been Hola Arepa—which is okay, but way too Americanized.
We need some maracuchos from Texas or South Florida to move up here and give us some truly good authentic Venezuelan food.

Pabellon arepa and cachapa were great and very satisfying. Appetizer sampler was great to try variety of items. Tequenos were a highlight! Can't go wrong with warm cheese wrapped in crispypastry dough.

Unfortunately, the 1-star rating is for the price and food itself. Flavor? Good. $22 dollars for the special? NO. It includes white rice which is about 50-60% of the plate, one meat with a bit of fried plantain.
The most they could charge would be $15 going on the most expensive end, yet for the portions around $10-$12 should be good.
I will probably go once more, but too expensive for what it is.
Staff were friendly, and the food was good, but not “wow”.

For some time I tried to find the Venezuelan arepas “Pabellón” and “Reina Pepiada”, the same ones that are delicious and that I missed trying them a lot since some friends from the great Venezuela invited me to a hollow, there in my country (Quito-Ecuador).
Yesterday was the day when together with my life partner, we decided to go in search of the arepas... Google was not wrong, it took us to the TequeArepa and without a doubt, their service, quality and warmth of people and the flavor of the products, without a doubt, left us satisfied.... We took a pair for our children... they were also fascinated. Highly recommended.
