The food was delicious but our server only checked on us once after receiving our food. About mid meal I needed a drink refill and nobody stopped by. I tried to get the server's attention but they were obviously overloaded. I stopped another server that wasn't ours and asked for a refill, but never received one. By this time I was finished with my meal. Staff seemed very short handed.

Yuck, never again. Cold beer and food. We stopped because we could get percent back from UPSIDE. Respect your colon, go to Culver's instead!!!!

Server took over 10 mins to even say hi to us. You could tell he was new. He took our order and brought half our drinks. When our food came out we had to ask the food runner for the missing drinks. We never saw our server again. They also charged us for drinks twice. Since our server was MIA we just shorted his tip and figured he can refund the overcharge and keep it since he had no desire to come by our table more than the one time. A couple came in while we were eating and waited 15 mins to be helped after they went to look for someone. I left a small tip for the 2 drinks and taking my order. You could tell he was new. If that’s true, shame on the manager for poor training and setting him up to fail.
Update: I heard back from their GM and he blamed the system ringing up too many drinks. That’s a shame they don’t seem to care about customers or their employees.

Thank you for the wonderful meal on Veterans Day! We have met at Elk River location with friends and their spouses for 15 years and have never been disappointed.
The food was horrible. The shrimp I had tasted awful. They weren't creamy, lushy, and buttery. They tasted like burned butter. The chicken strips for the kids and my someone's salad were burned and hard as a rock. They contained about 99.5% burned batter and. 5% chicken. Steaks were ask for medium which we were told would be slightly pink... They were very well done. Highly disappointing since have better expectations of Applebee's based on previous experiences.
