Maddie was our server tonight and she reccomend the Omakase experience. We mentioned the boat, but we were not prepared for what arrived on our table. This boat was out of this world. There is no better sushi restaurant within 15 miles of Hajime, maybe even further. The hot saki is also very flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving sushi!

Best sushi rolls around! Always great dinning in and take out. We have a gluten allergy in my family and they are knowledgeable and understanding every time.

Honestly not a horrible place to eat but I ordered chicken fried rice with cream cheese wontons...for some reason they didn't bother to tell me the wontons also have imitation crab in them. And the fried rice is barely fried.....literally it's white rice with onions and carrots.....very tasteless unfortunately

I think this is our new favorite sushi haunt. We ordered different sushi rolls this time. They were served together on the same platter and they were very tasty. Fresh rolled perfectly and the actual pieces of sushi were more bite-sized than what you would normally get, so you could take one piece and 1 bite without stuffing your mouth too full. The gyoza was outstanding. Probably our number one favorite gyoza in the Twin Cities.

The server was knowledgeable about vegan needs and double-checked ingredients for us. We ordered the fried rice (made vegan), the veggie specialty roll, three avocado rolls, and the vegetable gyoza. Everything was delicious, and it felt easy and welcoming to dine here n. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-08

Good big portions. Decent happy hour. Was surprised how ignored I was when the place was dead sitting at the bar even after tipping well the night before. Employees seem to care more about their phones, boyfriends, and quitting for the day at happy hour time.

The waitress was nice and the water was cold, thats all the good there is to say about this hajime.
The fried rice was not fried, looked like white rice with some dry chicken on it.
The sushi rolls were peppered??? An odd suprise of black pepper was in the rolls. The rice for the sushi was either day old or not cooked, very hard.
Don't waste your time, go to the blaine Hajime
