Great community restaurant. Always busy, because of the service. The menu is broken down and easy to read, and now they offer half plates of larger dishes. We have never had bad service, or even slow service, but we have had some wait time because of how busy it can get. The most time we waited for seating was 15 min.
Definitely try the Jennie's Benies of you like wild rice soup.
Vegetarian options: For vegetarian options you just have to ask. We have never been charged for subbing out our meat (we have been charged at other restaurants). If I get eggs benedict I sub out the ham for tomato. Otherwise the omelette, and platters you pick your toppings.

I will never go to this restaurant again. I spent about a hundred dollars for 3 adults and a child. The process are high. The food is below average. The service takes a long time. The wait staff is rude. It's disturbingly loud in this restaurant. Good luck trying to hear people your sitting with. They forgot a few things on our order so we had to remind them. The waitress asked me if we needed anything else and as I'm replying, she walked away like she didn't even hear me. They over charged me and when I called the restaurant to inquire the lady said I had to take it up with the server. ?!?! Weird, I've never heard that before. Then the manager, who took little to no time to listen to me, got on the phone and yelled, "we're busy right now! if you want your $5 come on in and I'll write you a check for your fricken $5!!!" I asked him how he felt about google reviews. He said, "don't care" and then hung up on me. Makes me wonder WHAT ELSE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT? I guess I know what my hundred dollars gets me here. Live and learn right. If there was a book on terrible customer service, I'm sure this place has read it. There's plenty of other restaurants in the area. I won't be going to this one again.

Cute spot in downtown Elk River. The cinnamon roll was melt in your mouth delicious and the corned beef hash and eggs were also fantastic. Will definitely visit again.

The staff were great! The service was efficient and everyone was always smiling. The food unfortunately was less impressive. My wife had pancakes that were so thin they resembles crepes more than pancakes. My eggs Benedict had such thinly sliced and processed ham I had to search for it. The hashbrowns were undercooked and hard as well. Such a nice place, it is just sad the food is sub par.
We had heard this place was "must try" in Elk River. Unfortunately, we we're unable to try it. We came inside, sat down, and then left after not getting service for 15 minutes.

I'm going around Minnesota and trying hidden treasures ! This mom and pop shop is amazing! The staff is very friendly and on top of it! They make you feel very welcomed and relaxed! The food was immaculate!
