The Banh Mi sandwich and Sesame Chicken were very good. The Green Beans Fries were delicious. I think they should serve the teriyaki dipping sauce at room temp, or slightly warmed. Beautiful place. Dylan was very friendly and helpful.

Unique up north log cabin theme. Lovely, great food, but can be noisy because of vaulted interior.
Food excellent šŸ‘Œ

This was the best Pad Thai and Lo Mein my husband and I have honestly ever had! They definitely outdid every aspect of this place, I was shocked at how this ā€œsmall town bar vibeā€ place had such amazing Asian style food! We came back two nights in a row while in town because it was THAT good! Very accommodating to gluten allergies as well šŸ‘šŸ¼

Wonderful food! Eggrolls are the best!
Wish they were open more days and earlier hours.
Adding the option for online ordering would be great as well!

They are 2 for 2 and do not disappoint. Great flavorful dishes. Wonderful staff. The all natural beautiful wood interior can get a little loud but that shouldn't stop someone from enjoying a great experience.

Been to the RedPine several times.
Bought a cabin in Fifty Lakes in June.
Brought my parents here for a dinner for the first time and was excited for them to try it.

Got sat right away when we got there at 6:40pm. Waited about 10 minutes to order a water, coke, and a hot tea. We were told immediately that there is no hot drinks as the person who does that is cooking tonight. We did see another table have a hot tea however.
Also ordered some won tons for an appetizer.

Drinks came out and won tons followed a few minutes later.

Now we are waiting for the food and it’s almost 8pm. My parents who are elderly and in their 70s and 80s were noticeably getting frustrated on how long the food was taking, the restaurant was busy but it did seem to be taking abnormally long.

We flagged our original waitress down to ask about the food and she responded with that it’s almost done, and they were busy.

A few minutes later another waitress came to our table and said it’s almost done and they’re working on it and that’s when my parents had enough waiting and my mom said forget it just bag it up and we want it to go.

A few minutes after that, I assume who is the manager/owner comes to our table noticeably agitated with his heart racing like he was running a marathon. My mom says this has been a nightmare (the wait time) and we just want to leave, and he responds with an attitude that we don’t need to eat his food if this place is a nightmare and he needs to protect his staff from people being rude. He was the only one being rude in the moment and his energy was at a level where I felt he that he wanted to do something.

I have never felt this way at a restaurant in my life, and the way my elderly parents were spoken to, I was about to ask him to join me outside.

This place will never get my business again.

Red Pine arguably has some of the best Asian food in the whole State, and who would have thought this would be found up North in Emily, Minnesota!? I sure didn't expect it. It's now a tradition of ours to visit here everytime we come to our cabin in Crosslake and it never fails to satisfy. You can tell the head chef/owner put so much care into what he serves, and what you get in return is high quality dishes packed with flavor and intent. There is much integrity to this establisment and you can taste it in every bite. We always tend to go for the Sesame Chicken (Outstanding) or the Pad Thai w/ Chicken (Also, outstanding) however on our last visit we did the Bahn Mi and added the Pork Belly to it...Wow. Absolutely incredible. Hands down the best bahn mi I've ever had. As always, see you soon Red Pine! You're all masters of your craft, and I will always point friends of ours up North in your direction.

Came here with family with very little expectations. Honestly, we thought that this was a restaurant serving burgers and bar food, and nothing more. The Red Pine Cookhouse REALLY surprised us as they had authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

The wontons were great, along with the eggroll salad (bun!). The burger was super beefy and had to be cooked in some juicy tallow! The cheese curds (and the its' mayo-based dip) were delicious. So were the wings and fish and chips! We were all surprised at the quality and taste of all the wonderful food, especially out in the middle of nearly nowhere. The Vietnamese food really does rival some of the Twin Cities restaurants!

Super glad we came on a whim!

This was my second time visiting Red Pine and both times were excellent! The space is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is top notch. It's not always easy to get high quality, delicious food as a vegetarian in a small town, so it's a real treat to eat somewhere with so many options. Highly recommend the banh mi and the cream cheese wontons. I also enjoyed the energy and the crowd- good vibes all around. It's a real gem!

From the service, to the food, to the ambience- everything was absolutely perfect. My table shared the wontons, egg rolls, lo mein, pad Thai and steak and potatoes. It’s impossible to pick a favorite, so everything was my favorite!! I can’t wait to go back.

Spent the weekend in Emily with some girlfriends & we had the best time @ Red Pine Cookhouse on Saturday night! The place was bustling when we arrived around 7:00 but we didn’t have to wait for a table! Our server Brandon was friendly & helpful with recommendations off the menu! Paul & Patience were also very lovely and welcoming!
The food is exceptional, and it’s nice to have an option for somewhere to go that isn’t just serving burgers or pizza! The egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had, and everything else we ordered was wonderful as well!
If you’re in the area, you should definitely give this place a visit!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
