Mixed review here. This place has the potential to be great. The food has been, for the most part, better than average and bordering on outstanding. However, the service is unbelievably slow with staff frquently unfocused. Wait times for a simple burger and fries meal have taken upwards of 45+ minutes to deliver with very few other patrons present.

In it's defense it is a roadhouse and bar. That said, bar patrons seem to take priority over diners. Depending on the crowd, things can get loud, and conversation can get difficult.

The food is spendy, and depending on the order, the portions have been rediculously small, particularly the salads.

Overall, an average score here. My belief is that with a little polish and better customer focus, this place could really shine.

On our way back home from Maplewood, decided to stop for lunch. Food was very good (Boxcar patty melt & prime rib sandwich). Folks were friendly, nice atmosphere and service was great! Plan to stop again next time we're in the area and have their ribs. Had a taste of their barbecue sauce and it was delicious!!

Cute little spot on the way to Maplewood. Nice quiet area with a spot to sit out back. Food was really good. Four stars only because the water tasted very irony.

Way over priced music is way to loud there was only a few people in their and it took over a half hour to get food the fries were cold when we got them and my kid ordered a kids burger and his meal was the same size as mine but mine was 8 bucks more for 2 onion rings and and BBQ sauce just stupid

Over priced for the quality. Service wasn't really good.

Dietary restrictions: Not much available for anyone with health problems other than salad.

Parking: Very limited and shares what little space there is with a gas station.

Long wait for below average food. Our waiter “J” seemed poorly trained. Thought he might be dim-witted. Came in at 6:15. Sat in side-room. Discovered by owner at 6:30. She apologized. We had 2 menus for table of 6. 10 minutes later menus came. Ordered two apps. Pretzel bites and cheese curds and beer. 10 minutes later I ask “J” if order was ready. It was not. 15 minutes later apps came. Very good but small portions. No one came back to check on water/pop refills or beer or more apps. Ordered foot. Simple order, 2 special hamburgers, bread bowl, patty melt and meatball sub. Around 7:45 food arrived except my meatball sub. Table next to us complained they had not received their drink order placed 45 minutes before. Hamburger was not the best quality, nice buns but should have been toasted. Cook must have had a bad day. I think he may have been ill. Bread bowl was good. After everyone finished their meal before my meatball sub arrived. No charge for the sub since it was so late. The meatballs were undercooked. Table next to me said their food was undercooked. Again no one asked about the meal or offered to take a drink order. Bathrooms looked like they were cleaned just once a day at closing. They should use pine-sol or some strong. disinfectant. Owner was pleasant. She looked frazzled from a long day being understaffed. This place really needs to hire a person who is a jack of all trades. A hostess/bus person, drink filler. They could roam the bar and see how everything is going. The owner would be a good person for this. Owner should oversee employees and customers and not have to be a full-time worker bee. Left at 8:15. 2 hour meal that should take less than 1 hour. Someone needs to check on customers and see if everything is alright. Lastly, never told if they had any specials. If they had a special or two it would be nice.
