This is honestly the worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had. It tasted like burnt tar. I’d rather drink what they serve in a hospital. I definitely do not recommend coming here.

Bluenose is a consistently good stop for a great cup of coffee, tea, and/or a light snack. They offer coffee shop favorites as well as unique seasonal drinks. The bulk tea selection is incredible, and I never fail to notice a new blend to try! They offer a small but mighty selection of snacks and baked goods (the Lorraine Scone is a favorite) as well as a few small gift items for purchase. The space is on the small side but big on charm and warmth, it’s a great place to read or get a little quiet work done. Finally, I appreciate the use and clear labeling of the compostable cups, bonus for being eco friendly!

How has it taken me so long to check this place out?? We stopped by on Saturday and it was very busy, but quick service and we were able to find a spot to sit. I was so happy to see a vegan donut option! I so rarely get to enjoy plant based treats when we're out and about in the area, so it was truly a highlight of the experience. We also appreciated the coloring sheets and crayons to keep our toddler occupied.

The soups are great and the coffee and tea selection is amazing. They sell loose leaf tea, if you're a tea lover. You can also buy loose leaf tea in a cannister. Highly recommend the mango black tea. It has been one of my favorites. The seating is pretty good, but it does get crowded on weekends so expect to not always find seating. The staff are kind and attentive.

I have not eaten any of their other food items except for the donuts which are delicious! What Keeps me coming back though is the coffee - SO much better than Starbucks or Caribou!!! I just wish they had a frequent customer card or something -- I easily spend $1$140-$160+ here A WEEK!!! Definitely would be nice to have rewards or a free coffee to look forward to!

Bluenose is a great local coffee shop with a cozy vibe, a dog-friendly patio, and even a drive-through for convenience. They have fun seasonal specials — I tried The Waffle, made with maple syrup, and it was excellent. The pastries looked delicious, though I didn’t grab one this time. Service was warm and friendly, which makes it an easy spot to come back to. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Edit: Update for 2025. Sadly my favorite coffee shop has become inconsistent with their drinks, in a weirdly inconsistent way. Our neighbors and friends have noticed this as well. Sometimes they’re way too sweetened, other times not enough, sometimes too much creamer, other times not enough. I’ve been ordering the same drink for years and now it’s a gamble whether it will be drinkable or not.
Believe me, it pains me to write this! BN is our favorite, we drive from the other side of Lakeville for it multiple times a week! My hope is that management sees this and makes some changes to (training I assume). Thanks.

Atmosphere is good, but when it comes to their coffee and drinks, I have been there 4 different times and all 4 times I have thrown my drinks away, coffee and dirty sodas. Service is slow and gets mixed up on orders and tastes honestly really bad, I am a fan of my local Farmington businesses, but bluenose is bad.

The staff is always friendly and amazing, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for a coffee date, Bible study, or getting some work done. And the chai? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. You have to try it! Definitely check this place out!
