My son ordered almost $50 worth of food for our family. However, he didn't realize they didn't accept credit cards. The cashier allowed him to take the food and pay later. She didn't know I had surgery and was unable to cook. This was such a blessing. Awesome service and great food!

This the type of steakhouse where you get in line and order your steak, pick a salad and desert place it on a tray and slide it down the counter till you get to the end and pay and your meat ant potato choice us ready.I had a Ribeye, fries, salad, Texas toast, soda, and a slice of Boston cream cake for just 13 cents short of 25$. There is also a soup of the day.I have been there 3 times now and every time my steak has been cooked to perfection. The ribs there are not to be missed either. It is not a upscale fancy place, it us very much old fashioned small town America, of which we are very grateful for! It is very busy at supper time, but we have never had and issue getting 5 - 8 of us seated at a table.Good food, friendly staff, good prices and you get a lot of food. The staff even carried my tray to the table which was a big help. If you find yourself in the area give them a try!

Beefin with late beef: I ordered a sirloin steak, after 20 minutes they said they forgot my order.I came here for my father's birthday. 40 years ago, it was one of the places my recently immigrated parents came to have dinner dates and they wanted me to try Farmington Steak House. Today they got the bbq ribs (Monday special) and a whole bunch of sides. They said the food tasted great and it wasn't too busy on a Monday. For the price point, 5 stars for food. Atmosphere was chill.I received my food 35 minutes late, was told someone would bring it to me, but they were waiting for me to pick it up when done. Mixed experience for my first time here. I left unhappy. Fantastic food but I don't know if I'll make the 30 min drive down again.

We used to go everyweek but have moved away. Went today and had an amazing lunch. Staff went over and above to make us lunch and were very friendly. I will continue to recommend to anyone i know or anyone that asks. Farmington Steak House is the best kept secret in Minnesota. They never disappoint.

Best cheap place to grab a meal in Farmington Minnesota. Friendly, good people. And just went there after 15 years or so not going and tastes just as good as before.
The staff are super friendly and will hold a conversation while you're in line. They get the food prepared in a timely manner and keep the mind moving. The experience of talking to strangers in line who are also there to enjoy some of the food they offer is something I've never experienced but it happens every time I'm in here. Great small town steakhouse with many food items.
Excellent small town steak house with reasonable prices and excellent service. I go here occasionally with some friends and every time the staff and extremely nice, provide great service, and are very friendly. I would highly recommend it as a place to check out if you're passing through or if you're a resident who hasn't yet been here, I would encourage you to go and try out this small business. It is important to note though that they don't take credit or debit cards and only take cash and check so make sure you're prepared.
