Over the MANY years we've been in and out and around Fergus Falls, I can't remember ever eating here, although we've heard good things about Mabel Murphey's. As we wrapped up our last day with my brother and his wife, they chose to come here because...this is where he proposed to her 30 years ago! So we happened to, thankfully, beat the evening rush, had a room to ourselves for awhile, and waited for our meals to arrive. We all enjoyed our food. I had the duck, one of my favorites over the past 50 years that I've had far too seldom. This was prepared in a different sauce, but just as good as any I'd had before. I can't speak for the others, but there certainly wasn't any complaining. Fair warning: this is NOT a budget family restaurant. If you loosen your belt here, be prepared to loosen your wallet.

I have visited three occasions while traveling. I've only sat at the bar for drinks. The drink prices are higher than other places I visit in the midwest but atmosphere and comfort of this bar is exceptional. Bartenders are attentive and personable. If you are looking for a good meal and excellent service and are willing to pay a bit more you will love this place.

Terrible!! Waited 1.5 hours and then the food was barely warm!! They told us it was because of a 15 top, but watched tables that came in after us leave! Save yourself, don’t go here!
Tonight a friend and I stopped in for a late dinner, 8:25p.m. When seated we were told the dining room will be closing at 9:00p.m. We waited 15 minutes before our order was taken, no others in the dining room Both of us ordered the ribeye steak with baked potato though unfortunately when the waitress returned we were told only one ribeye remained so I went with the baseball We were also told there were no baked or mashed potatoes left either I ordered medium rare, my friend ordered his medium yet neither cut of meat had any red or pink inside, both were well done My friend had the beer cheese soup that he said was very good I had rice that was barely warm While eating our dinner not once not twice, but six times F bombs were dropped by the kitchen staff and apparently get another shot was more important than being professional as my friend commented he heard at least twice The waitress was very good, came back to refill our beverages, but was not bothersome or chatty as I/we prefer to be left alone while eating $65 for two steaks, sides and non alcohol beverages (fair price) no dessert

The quintessential Irish pub! Complete with friendly bartenders, comfort food and cozy ambiance. Phil and Megan ((yes, the M on her shirt is for Megan)) were both long timers there and you could feel the team’s camaraderie. Life on the road makes most menus pretty boring, Mabel’s menu was perfect. Great pastas, ribs and steaks. My hai and went nuts over the pretzel + beer cheese dip. Spoiler alert, the dip is their beer cheese soup and we may or may not have a bunch in the freezer! It’s their signature item for a reason. YUM. Winning at pull tanks didn’t hurt either. 🤭

I am one to put sauce on EVERYTHING. I asked for steak sauce, before trying the steak. Took one bite and didn't bother to add anything extra. It was phenomenal! The fried shrimp topping, was meaty and flavorful! Wish I lived closer (am from Utah), I'd come back frequently! Oh and not to forget the bloody Mary! Never have I ever tasted anything like it! AMAZING!
