Worse pizza ranch I have been to. Waiting 1 hrs for chicken to come out and the people in front of us took it all. 2 pizza on the buffet. Could not order our favorite pizza. Salad bar was all warm with little salad.

We went to pizza ranch to have lunch a little after 2. We were told the buffet was closed until 5. Very disappointed! Closed buffet in the middle of the day!? While in the parking lot as we were leaving we saw 2 other cars with several people pull up go in and then leave. Turning away customers? Losing business.

Pizza sitting for over 30 minutes or until gone. Chicken old and dry sitting just as long. When they brought out more they just dumped it on tip of the old. No variety of Pizza, 3 of the exact same kind of Pizza when they bought more it was 2 cheese stick pizza's. For the price of over $50 for 3 adults was absolutely outrageous. I do not recommend to anyone.

We were traveling home to Canada from Minneapolis and were deciding where we should stop to eat. We saw Pizza Ranch as an upcoming option and since we don't have that where we live we chose to go there.
Unfortunately it was just after 2:00 pm on a Saturday so we missed the buffet (which we already knew because we saw the hours on the door). Being new to the restaurant we didn't know what to expect so I just asked an employee if we seat ourselves. I was immediately handed off to another employee who just told us that the buffet was done until 5. So I just asked if there was no food available in between. He just told me it would have to be off the menu (which is what I expected) and I said that was fine. He got me to take a couple of menus and seat ourselves and to come back to the counter once we knew what we wanted.
As we went to the table we walked past all the food on the buffet, still hot, still ready for people to help themselves (which another person did while we were deciding on what to order).
We ordered, said it was for dine-in, paid (left a tip, unfortunately) and proceeded to watch them clear the buffet throwing the pizza (and possibly other buffet foods) straight into the garbage.
We had been told it would be about 10-15 minutes for our food. After waiting about half an hour we asked how much longer it would be since we needed to get back on the road. About 5 minutes later our food was brought to our table in takeout bags!
Then he asked if we were eating here and needed plates. He brought plates but no cutlery. Had to go get that ourselves.
We ate quickly (we were only there for 49 minutes altogether). The pizza was pretty good but on the salty side. The chicken and mashed potatoes were nothing to write home about!
Everything felt sticky and like the grease in the air settled on it all and had never been cleaned.
We were very much made to feel unwelcome!
I would not recommend this location to anyone.
I can't speak for other locations, but I would be hesitant to try Pizza Ranch again.

We stopped in along the way and were informed that the buffet was closed which is no big deal but there was at least 4-5 pizzas sitting on the buffet table. We ordered off the menu and not even 5 minutes later saw the buffet table get cleared off into the garbage can. We were informed that our order would be about 10-15 minutes and that turned into an hour. the people taking our order were strangely cold to us as well from ordering to receiving our food. Stopping to eat here was an inconvenience more than anything.

The photo speaks for itself and I asked three different employees about it and they said they were not on the chicken line and they didn’t do anything about it. I finally told an employee about writing a bad review and they said to bad that I would do that. No management was there.

Today was my daughter's 3rd birthday, and I chose Pizza Ranch in Fergus Falls as a central spot for our 40 guests, all of whom drove at least 60 miles to be there, including us. No one lived here. I called a few days in advance, was told we could reserve the back room, and estimated about 30 people. I confirmed 11:30am. Guests began arriving around 11:15.

Then the curveball: staff told our early guests they’d decided not to let us use the reserved room. No heads-up, no explanation, just that it wouldnt be busy and that they wanted everyone to sit up front. So everyone had to sit in booths and tables separated by a 5-foot wall. What kind of birthday party... ugh. When I showed up at 11:35 with the birthday girl is when I found out. The whole party would be broken up into little booth size groups. Limited Family conversation, limited shared space, no party vibe, most couldn't even see the Birthday Girl, just split-up tables and muffled voices.

When my mom came in (around 11:45) carrying the cake and cupcakes, and my dad had gifts in hand, or vice-versa, my brother helped them find a table. That’s when he overheard a young female employee mutter, “So they’re just going to walk right in without paying?” Really? They were clearly carrying party items, not sneaking slices. My mom/dad, without knowing that was said, paid right away after setting stuff down and freeing their hands.

The buffet was okay, smaller than im used to, but most of the stations were stocked. The ice cream was tasty, but no real dishes, Just those small disposable black plastic ketchup cups to put it into. One guest couldn’t find cheese pizza, so they asked for one. When a girl (young, long straight hair, no name that i noticed) brought it out, it was clear she wasn’t thrilled when only one or two slices were wanted.

For gift opening, a few huddled around a small table up front. hardly ideal. The layout made it impossible for most to watch. Oh, and when we moved a couple of the longer tables to snap a generation photo? The undersides were disgusting. Sticky and grimy like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages.
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TABLE 😅

Now for the positives, because there were some!

Everyone LOVED the chicken! Juicy, flavorful, and fresh. The fries? Perfectly crispy. Dessert pizza (especially the blueberry) was amazing! The girl with short, dark hair deserves praise - super polite, always smiling, and cleared dishes quickly. THANK YOU for for being a highlight to the visit! (Unless you were the one who made the comment 😉 if so, still, great job otherwise.)

The rest of the restaurant was clean, despite those sticky table bottoms.

Even though the seating arrangement was aweful, we still enjoyed being “together.” People made the best of it. But had I known they’d yank our room last minute after confirming I’d have booked somewhere else where we could all actually be together for the party.

I’d still come back to eat, that chicken was stupid delicious but maybe somewhere else for a party or family gathering.

An awesome place with the nicest and most hard-working staff. Food to go is always very fresh and hot and made right every time. These team members make it a very pleasant experience.

Just went here with my son. First I came in and the guy who rang me up completely ignored me and my son. Only gave me my cup and didn’t get one for my child and walked away and started talking to another employee, I had to ask him a couple times before we sat down. We came for the buffet but this whole time we’ve been sitting here they haven’t restocked food or anything. I also saw the people in the back eating and drinking over clean dishes and food. I don’t think I’ll be back and I used to love this place.
