We got married on the Black Sand Beach and then ate here with a group of 9 or so. We signed the wedding certificate on the bar!
We have three gluten free people and one vegetarian. Everyone was able to find something to eat. The server was incredible and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The on site liquor store was a big bonus! The food was good and the prices were good.

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian in our group had a cheese pizza.

Our local go-to place. It's always consistently great food and great service. My husband loves the fish fry and I'm a huge fan of the chicken sandwiches. And always get the dessert, if you can find the room. We appreciate the prices, too.

A little treasure tucked away in a small town. We found this gem after getting back to our hotel for the evening and finding out everything close was closed. We drove in a storm 30-45 minutes away and after walking in the door we knew it was going to be good. 100% gives a small town bar vibe when you walk in the door. Everyone looks toward the opening door to see who it is and will greet you by name if they know who you are otherwise you are met with a smile.

We got there a few minutes before their kitchen closed, but the owner/cook that evening assured us they would still make our order. Our server was amazing! Very welcoming and attentive and when we told her we were HUNGRY she steered us in the direction of the Fish Fry Dinner Special they had going that night. Unlimited amount of fish & fries for $15-16 and boy was it good!!! Great flavor, and the breading was nice and crispy. We also ordered the fried mushrooms & bloody Mary's from the bar. Mushrooms had a great crunch, for being fried none of the food had an overly greasy taste. The bloody Mary's were really good too with a nice kick to them.

We will be back hopefully in the near future.

What a hip dive bar vibe in Finland, MN with great food, nice dog-friendly patio, & great staff ~ such a hidden gem of the north shore. Homemade fries, awesome walleye sammie, and the best homemade ranch!!! Thank you, we can't wait to comeback!!

Stopped here for dinner while staying at Illgen Falls cabin. This was a very pleasant dining experience. Simple bar food menu but good specials- my dad enjoyed the lake trout special. The cheese curds are tasty and they’ve got the GOOD ranch (IYKYK). My sister ate the walleye bites for her meal and said they were tasty. My mom and I had burgers and they were also great. All around, good food and nice local vibes. Everyone was very friendly and the service was quick! Nothing fancy here but it doesn’t need to be.

After hiking the SHT, we dined here and were blown away by the service and quality of food. The burger was delicious and the taco specials (Homemade warm chips!!) were homemade and a great surprise!!!

Genuinely the best stop for food I’ve had on my entire superior trip. Burgers and soup are phenomenal this is a must stop everyone was wonderful here
