What a delightful surprise in this small town in Minnesota. We walked from the LaPier Lodge to Ventures on a Wednesday summer night. We started with a draft of Alaskan Amber, our favorite red ale not often found in most restaurants. The salad greens were served in an elegant bowl much as we have found in 5 star full service restaurants. My husband’s walleye was lightly breaded and seemed like fresh from one of the local lakes in Minnesota. My steak was perfectly done to medium rare. As we exited, a group of young people were playing sand volleyball set up outside the establishment. If you travel Hiway 2 through Fosston, Mn , stop at The Ventures for good food food and drinks..

Great specials, great service and the staff are always willing to accommodate a multitude of different requests! From the individual to large private groups, they are creative and professional with both planning and execution! Their new re-invented menu has kept a great selection of the fan favorites and they have been offering awesome, affordable new specials!! Would recommend trying them out either again, or for a second chance!

We went to dinner with 8 people at 5 with family from NY and Florida. Server was rude and they were already out of food. No more filet , no more baked potatoes , didn’t know if they had orange soda. My steak tasted rotten and when I told them they only took 50 % off the bill. I was not the only one who thought the meat was bad. Good thing this restaurant is where it is otherwise it would never survive. Will not be going back.

What a great place for food. I had the filet and it was juicy, flavorful and cooked to my liking. I always love a place that serves tots and these didn't disappoint. We had a large party and our server Dani was incredible—attentive, friendly, and never missed a beat.. Thanks for a great night!

The service is either very good or very bad. Inconsistent! Ordered one half chicken for take out. Received all white meat. Baked potato and garlic toast was burnt. Salad was just a little cheese sprinkled on lettuce. Did not receive salad dressing that was ordered. It will be a very long time before we order from Ventures again.
