My 10yr son said the apple ? turnover was "insanely good." My 8yr son said the burger ? bun was "so squishy" ?
Great, old fashioned diner fare, service, and feels. Good choice for stop on your next road trip to or from the Cities!

Food was amazing and the staff was awesome! If I was a local this would be my go-to for breakfast. Very quaint little diner with an old school feel. Just what we were looking for during our vacation

Stopped in on way home a couple of months back. Hubby ordered eggs over easy they were fried hard. I had a taco salad and the shell tasted like old grease. Haven't been back since. Service was good

The waitress was very sweet and attentive, but the food wasn't good. My burger was a bit overcooked, the bun was dry and the fries were soggy and flavorless. The person I was with ordered a veggie wrap without mushrooms, but it was full of mushrooms....I wouldn't recommend

Doing my review based on previous visits where I’ve ordered off the menu and never been disappointed by this cafe’s homemade meals. I choose the breakfast buffet served in the lower level today and will not make that mistake again. Food was ok at best on the buffet.

I ordered the kids meal Burger and Fries - this was tasty. The waitress did not check back despite the Cafe being half empty. We were hoping for a refill on our water. I was looking forward to some delicious pie and was very disappointed. The crust was bland, mildly soggy, and clearly purchased and not homemade. We were looking for small town home cooking and were left wanting.

Maybe the best burger I've ever had!
Parking: Plenty of parking across the street. Trailer parking might be difficult, other than parallel on the street

Food was excellent. Prices are cheaper than I expected. Service was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was extremely polite. First visit but definitely will be a repeat customer on my drive to the cities.

I saw this story in my news feed about Charlie's Cafe had the "best" cinnamon rolls in Minnesota. So, of course, I had to find out on my own OH BOY!!! It was well worth the 2 hour drive up 94 East to Freeport, MN!! Not only were the rolls the most scrumptious ever, we tried both the frosted and the caramel rolls, but the food was just as awesome!!! And served HOT!!! Our waitress, I can't remember her name, was amazing and friendly! I highly recommend Charlie's Cafe as a MUST GO TO spot!!!
