Flannel, the band that was playing, was great. Very nice crown. They gave this disabled guy (I walk with a cane) lots of space. Some er one even brought me a chair.

First time here. Didn't even know where it was, hidden from the main roads. Dive bar atmosphere but I love dive bars. Nice menu selections. Pretty good beer selection. I had fish tacos, which isn't really a dive bar pick, but they were great. One of the people at our table had the chicken pot pie and it looked fabulous. Great server. I'm coming back here now that I know where it is. Hidden gem.

I delivered a deep fryer to them. It's my job. I'm sure their food is delicious. They wouldn't still be in business if it was not.

Went for lunch on Saturday with a larger group of friends to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations but seemed like it probably wasn't necessary for that time of day, but you never know.Atmosphere is precisely what I expect and is great. It is a local bar and grill that is rustic feel and not fancy. Exactly how it should be for this place, my favorite part of thing. Free popcorn is available.Service left a little to be desired. Took a long time to take or drink order and then for our drinks to come out. Took even longer for them to finally take our food order. Then food was slow to arrive as well. Napkins/silverware only showed up after most of us finally had our food and we asked for them. We also were never asked later how our food was. Mind you, it was not very busy when we were there.. Maybe half capacity at best. Although i give only stars for service we had a big group, and sometimes that can make service just not typical. Hoping it is better with a smaller group.Food: it was decent. Not great. But prices are very reasonable so definitely a value play here. I got the Patty Melt with onion rings. Onion rings were pretty good, not as hot as should be but again, with a big group they probably sat for a few minutes before being brought out. The patty melt was just OK, also just warm. The marbled rye was just basic prepackaged grocery store level and lacked a strong rye taste. The burger was cooked medium rare as ordered but bland. The fried onions on the burger were cut too big and chunky and I prefer they be sliced thinner and cooed a little more and caramelized. The cheese was also just OK, just a basic prepacked slice. I did steal a few tater tots from a friend and they were great.Overall going with 3 stars. The prices are fantastic which would probably get me back in the door again someday. I have often found that service and/or food quality is not as good when dining with a larger group. So take my review from that perspective. I'll update my review if I ever make it back and have a different experience.

This place has been an institution in the middle of a neighborhood. Crazy busy on a Thursday night. The usual greasy apps/fare and a decent happy hour.Parking: Small lot, gets full fast. On street parking also.

One of the hockey dad's I met through coaching grew up in the area and told me I had to check out Schuller's (comparing it to the small town bar where I coach). If you like simple bar food and a no frills establishment - Schuller's Tav is for you. The pricing is pretty solid and the menu has a little bit of everything. I came during a weekend afternoon that wasn't a big sports day so it was pretty quiet. From what I was told - it can be quite the Friday/Saturday night hangout or venue to catch a game. If Golden Valley has "locals" like my hometown, I bet they are at Schuller's on the regular. I'd call it the anti-West End... So if you are trying to have a few drinks away from the newly 21 - this is your place. All said - it isn't going to be a favorite or a "go-to" of mine, but it is what it is and if you are looking for a bar that feels like a throwback to your small-town roots - this is probably your place.

The Schu abides. Nice remodel inside, patio with the water feature is very well done. If you go, looking for comfort food, and Mom's chicken pot pie is on the menu, they knock it out of the ball park. It's the best.Parking: Big parking lot. Plenty of room.
