The place looks cool, the beer is okay, the people are not friendly. Meh

Try their pils. Pumpkin spice, and blendery beers!

Nice place and atmosphere

Beer was pretty good, but awful service....pretentious and condescending.

Edit 7/13/2025 (6 Years later)- stopped in during a day out with my family and kids. Bar tender rolled his eyes when we asked which ones were the lagers (FYI it’s the #18, I can’t believe we didn’t know that immediately). Didn’t stay to even try anything since that attitude isn’t fun for anyone.

Rating: go to Luce Line a couple miles away.

An obvious eye roll and deep sigh was not what I expected when asking what lagers were on tap. Not sure why that was such a ridiculous question but this will be the first and last time I enter this business.

Love this place. So many variety of beers, there is something for everyone. The London is a favorite! The Renaissance theme is inviting, such a great place to be able to hang out with friends!

My dad and I - both huge craft beer fans- stumbled across this absolute gem last night. Neither of us live in the area (I’m in S Mpls and he’s in the south suburbs), but we were in Plymouth looking for a brewery and this one sounded unique. I’m going to try to make this succinct, but so much was perfection, so here’s a list of PROS:
-Friendly and extremely knowledgable staff. My dad asks lots of questions, and the kind beertender had good answers about how the brews were made, hops used, “this is a little different than other brews in this style, what’s different?”, etc. He even came out from behind the bar to chat with us, which I don’t see at any other tap rooms.
-HUGE variety of brews, and nearly all were fabulous in my opinion.
-Completely unique vibe, which was refreshing for me coming from Minneapolis, where it’s easier to find a brewery thats just like all the other breweries than it is to find someone who’s doing something truly unique.
-Related to the above: chairs were actually comfortable and not those crappy metal chairs every single brewery has.
-Dad loved the library. Between the excellent selection of books and beers, I think he was ready to move in.
-Variety of upcoming events, including the classic trivia, a maker’s market, and TRICYCLE JOUSTING coming up on 6/1.
-Appears they have a patio as well, it was raining when we visited.
-Head brewer is a woman, which is less common than one might hope in 2025, but here we are. She’s so talented, and I’m a fan without even having met you, Lori!

Cons:
-No in-house food, which some may prefer. I didn’t mind ordering in from Davanni’s, who gave us a discount for ordering from the brewery. Perhaps they have food trucks sometimes, I’ll keep an eye out for that when I return. They do have snacks like pretzels and chips.
-This place is not in my back yard, which is only a con for me personally; hopefully they’re closer to you, dear reader.

Overall, well worth a return trip to see what’s on tap and sit a spell in a friendly, welcoming, unique environment.

Good selection but have tried multiple beers and none struck me as something I needed to have again. I can echo many of the previous comments about the staff being unwelcoming. If the owner wanted true feedback from customers, they wouldn’t continue to employ bartenders who seem irritated the minute you enter the establishment. Do yourself a favor and drive slightly farther to Luce Line Brewing.

Great place. A few coworkers and I went here recently for a networking event. The location is convenient, right off 55 and close to 169. It's not hard to find. It was packed and we spent a couple hours and tried a beer or two. I would definitely utilize this space for another networking event or just a happy hour. The decor is kind of medieval but comfortable. They have games available as well. We will be back.

It's a neat place until you meet the bar tender. I cannot remember the last time I felt such an intense dislike emanating from another person towards me. Will not be returning.

Edit: After reading the other reviews corroborating my experience and the pathetic responses defending this co-owner, I've dropped my rating to one star.

Excellent beer selection served in a unique atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting.

Pretty much home brew quality. Tried several different beers and all tasted the same. All tasted skunky to me. Also, goofy place, bartenders not very friendly or welcoming so zero reasons to go back. Bad beer and bad service, wonder how they stay in business?

My wife and I really like this place! We recently attended their "OcktoBeer Meat Feast" and had a great time, wish we could've have stayed longer! We bought 2 Growlers 1-similar to a "Lonely Blonde" for my wife, and 1-"Peanut Butter & Jelly Stout", OMG their beer is soooooooo good! The owners are super nice people, and really have a passion for making their customers feel special (as we both did)! Did I mention how good their food trucks are, every week something new & delicious from Mexican to Beef Brisket, Sushi, Desserts, you name it! A hidden gem in the northwest suburbs, right across the highway from Kare 11. Will definitely be back! I give it the "Riffmaster General" 5-Star approval rating because they also played great classic rock over the speakers while there and live entertainment during "OktoBeer Meat Feast".
