Food was not very good. Like worse than boot camp, but the dood running the place seems like he really had his heart in it. A for effort. So he just needs to figure out how to make the food edible and I have no doubt it'll be a success. Sorry for the negative review but you hopefully this can be a teachable moment.

Avoid this place. Having driven by here for many years. Finally remembered and stopped in at 10am Friday. Read an entire section of newspaper before anyone came to table. There was one couple and a single for the other customers. Ordered coffee (only has powdered creamer) then did not ever come back to take our order. Finished two more sections of newspaper. So after 5-6 minutes we left. No air conditioning. No air movement even with front door propped open. They don’t accept credit cards. Interior hasn’t been freshened up for 25+ years! And it really needs it. Exterior looks as if place is closed. It’s quite run down. Very disappointing trying to find a local non-chain cafe to eat at and then getting this dismal service and run down facility. Skip this place unless you want to replicate my impressions.

Cash only establishment. We liked the food. Unfortunately, just like most places, they are understaffed. Be patient if you come at a busy time.

I like this place. Definitely like a '50's diner. Decor like Mayberry. Owner a nice guy and prepares your food while he talks to you. His handicapped brother is always there, being cared for. Definitely not House of Pancakes or Perkins! Give it a try, for sure.

Definitely a hidden little gem, quaint lil place , friendly atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious!
Stopped at this very awesome diner, and was blown away. GREAT FRESH cooked food (I actually think the potatoes are made from scratch). And very friendly service. Would 10/10 recommend for people who are down to earth and enjoy antique style :)

Rude & Impatient staff, boring menu. Nasty bathrooms. ?
We went at 10 AM on a Sunday morning. It was closed. They're Google page said they were open. So we went to the Hwy 65 Pub and Grub just a bit north and had a very good meal.
