MARGO is a sharp, friendly, sincere, intelligent employee of the Onion Grille! It was a treat to have her as our server. She helped make the atmosphere. The food was very good. I did order my steak medium and got it very rare but I couldn't complain. We were having a great time with friends.

This place is amazing! The chicken fingers are one of the best I've ever had the fries were a 11/10! Our sever was super friendly and even inganged in a small conversation with us about breaking bad. 10/10 would 100% recommend!

Delightful surprise! We were going through Hastings on my 65th birthday and decided to try out a restaurant in town. Right down by the river is this restaurant. Service was very pleasant, efficient, and timely. I like ribs and I decided to take the risk. Was I ever delighted! The 1/2 rack was quite generous - maybe 12 bones of very meaty, non-fatty ribs! It came with bbq sauce on the side but honestly the ribs didn’t need much “doctoring up”. They were delicious! My wife ordered the walleye. Very tasty, crispy Parmesan coating. We topped everything off with the chocolate lava cake. Perfect

Had dinner at our favorite place in hastings! Of course we had to order the special, the chicken marsala and our normal favorite the Cajon chicken pasta! Can't go wrong with the Onion! Definitely worth stopping in, the chef's really know what they are doing! Peferct down to the last bite!

Great service. The Onion Soup was amazing. I loved the Sirloin Tips were cooked perfectly and the right portion. My wife loved the Greek Salad. A huge portion with salami. Kelley was an amazing server and checked on us again and again.

Excellent food, very home style and tasty. The waitress checked on us continuously and provided excellent service. Staff was very friendly to me and my family. Kiddo got the kids 1/3lb cheeseburger and fries, which he still had fries for us parents to swipe a few in good fun. ? I got the pub steak with seasoned carrots, and country style au gratin potatoes. All in all, great experience!

my friend told me lobster Mac and cheese had lump of lobster on top, didn't have that. barely had any for a whopping $16our waitress was prompt and friendly!will give it another try for other items

off-beat atmosphere, good service The cocktails were excellent, and the wife liked her tacos. I however had the misfortune of trying the mardi gras chicken - it was disgusting. First of all it was roughly room temperature the first time, served in an attractive take-home foil dish. After a re-heat it wasn't much better. It looked and tasted like something that had been made weeks ago and just defrosted.

Can't say enough about The Onion Grill. I had the bucket of Sun fish and a crock of their famous onion soup. The coffee was fresh and they had real cream. Outstanding menu. Absolutely will be back as everything on the menu needs to be tried. Can't say enough about how good the service was. People sometimes say after they visited a place, "I've been there, done that, and got the T-shirt". " Well now I can say, " I've been there, done that, and got a sweatshirt" Will be back! Thank you!

I wish I took a picture of the Smoked Salmon PlatterSalmon, deviled eggs, pickled onions, cucumbers, pickled asparagus, cream cheese & crackers.Everything on the platter was well displayed and delicious!My husband ordered the 3 meatballs dinner, it was devoured.His daughter chose the Lobster Louie Salad and said good things about it.Historic Hastings has many reasons to come back again and again.
