Order to take out and don't get the ketchup i asked for don't get the barbecue sauce I asked for and don't get the sweet and sour I asked for. Guess I won't be eating lunch today unless I want to eat a dry ass burger. when you have one job as simple as getting an order together you'd think you'd be able to do it right at the very least. I will never bring my business there again. I used to use them as a Laundromat and eat there a lot on lunch. That ended today. Plus my burger was charred black. Way over cooked. For crappy food and service this place is where you'll find it

It's a local bar with decent food and sells liquor and beer. It's old. Inside could really use updating. They have good specials and breakfasts, but it's a long wait for service and food to arrive.
Nice little "dive bar" type spot. Grabbed a perfectly poured bevie and yummy shrimp basket lunch while I did my laundry- conveniently attached!

This place was a childhood favorite of mine for most of my 40 years. After tonight, I will never go there.Ever again. My kid ordered the Mac and cheese kids meal, and you get a tiny little cup of microwavable Velveeta. 9$ for it... They were out of so many things that I couldn't even have the first three options I had wanted... My niece's burger was terrible::: unseasoned, and practically burnt... bacon, very undercooked... a rude waitress Who gave the distinct impression that she did not want to be there.... they serve you drinks in the thinnest cheapest plastic cups I have ever seen.... Why Chalet? You are one of the few locally iconic places left in town that's still around. And you cheap out like this?

I just finished having the stuffed hash browns, and it was the best dive breakfast I’ve had in DECADES. If you’re looking for classy atmosphere, go somewhere else… if you’re looking for a breakfast coma in a comfy dive bar setting you cannot go wrong with this place. All the gals that work there are great, too. Thank you, Deb for taking care of us.

It's a bargain for food, generous portions, reasonably priced for American home cooking. Favorite is the Chalet Special...tri tips, mushroom/onion gravy over spaetzle....heaven on a platter. Wash down with a tap and instant gratification.

The Breakfast food is fantastic with reasonable prices. Though the coffee leaves something to be desired, it's very weak, which is disappointing, especially when having breakfast. Seniors and those with light appetite can order from kids menu. Blueberry pancakes are loaded with berries, not topped with pie filling! Service can be slow during busy times as they are often short staffed, but we understand this is common in this industry, we feel it's with the wait. Overall I recommend, and it's a place we frequent.

Hands down - the most yummy and hearty omelette I have had! The price is right, the drink pours are generous, and Lex at the bar was helpful when our washing machine gave us a hard time. They have pull tabs, scratch cards, pool tables, and plenty else to keep you occupied while you do laundry! 10/10 this place is great!

Food was decent and reasonably priced but dear God don't dare enter 2 minutes before they open the entire time I was there the staff was pissin and moaning about someone not locking the door. What a way to make you feel valued as a customer. I won't be back, and it's sad this was so far my only bad experience in minnesota.

I want to love this place. It’s convenient and the staff is always friendly, and the food is good. But, the last FOUR times we have tried to come here over the last six months they have some excuse posted on the door as to why they are closed (this morning it was technical difficulties, sometimes it’s stuff shortages, someone is sick, blah blah blah.) I’m tired of trying to come here *during their posted hours* and then being closed. I have worked in the service industry for a long time and understand things happen occasionally, but these issues have been going on long enough that management should have figured out some backup plans by now.
