The establishment exudes a welcoming ambiance reminiscent of a close-knit community. Despite being an unfamiliar face from another state, I was treated with the same warmth and familiarity as if I were a regular patron in their intimate town of 800 residents.

The Hidden Hills Cafe is now The Green Rail. Great food, friendly service, relaxed small town cafe atmosphere.

Would be nice to have an updated menu of what they do and don't have, the ranch was bad and separating in the little container. The fried food tasted like burnt oil and the pulled pork was just microwaved.

Great food and service! Something our small town needs!

The food was delicious and affordable, and we like having food options for the whole day.

Small town cafe, roughly a 1/2 hours drive East of Sioux Falls SD. Upon first entering, you’ll find yourself in a fairly small dining area, that also shares room with the kitchen and cash register area. In the summer, it will be hot, as there’s no air conditioning in that common room. If you come with a group, you’ll also notice limited seating, and perhaps not enough to accommodate your group. Well, there’s a back room that solves these 2 issues. It’s both air conditioned, and has a lot more capacity for seating. The door is kept closed due to the AC, so if you’re not familiar with the building, you may not realize there’s a back area. There’s also a little bar in that back room as well.Food was good. Everything we tried was hit and fresh and seemed hand made, including the burger patties. They also have their own seasoning mix which adds a good flavor to much of what you may have ordered. I’d give it a try on some fries or even a burger and see what you think. It’s pretty decent. Service was also good. It took a little longer than you may wish for… but we also bombarded them with a crowd they weren’t expecting, so in all fairness, they did very well for service for what we came in with.If you’re passing through the area, r need a destination for your weekend ride, or even if you live somewhat close, I’d give this place a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, and if you are, chances are something else on the menu would change that.

I've been going to the Cafe since I was a little kid and over a decade later I still love the food and the Ma and Popsy type Cafe, great food and great people!
