Just moved to Howard Lake. Was excited to see a coffee shop a mile from my house. Went in yesterday, Monday 5/13 at 10:30am. I was the only customer. The face of the woman who came to help me had annoyance written all over it. She and a gentleman were cleaning and it was obvious I interrupted her. Not a smile to be found on that face.
I asked for a Latte with breve. She said she didn’t know what breve was was. I smiled and said oh, that just means made with half & half instead of milk. She said they don’t usually have half & half. I’m sure I looked at her with shock and disbelief now on MY face because that would be hilarious… blasphemy really. No cream in a coffee shop???
So I simply said thanks but I wouldn’t get anything then. I drink most all my coffee drinks with cream so this will not be my hometown coffee shop as I’d thought it would. I’m sure she was happy to go back to her cleaning and not have to be bothered with a customer. And I ended up having a GREAT cup of coffee at Buffalo Books and Coffee as I was heading to Buffalo anyway.
A coffee shop that doesn’t have half & half is really not a coffee shop. So now, Mocha Moose is just a place in a gas station that has coffee. Hope I can find a coffee shop closer to home tho than Buffalo…
