Catered meal was excellent
Crow River Winery is truly a gem for weddings! I own Jeff Dose Photography and have had the pleasure of shooting here several times- always an awesome experience! Amazing wine, a beautiful patio that just begs you to relax and enjoy your favorite vino, and some of the best sunsets around while you stroll the vineyard. Love this place and look forward to being back!
A lot to like here. A wide variety of tasty wines, from sweet to dry, white to red, and rose. Plus, hard ciders and beers on tap! Then a variety of food selections from charcuterie boards to fried brussels and pizzas, including cauliflower crusts for celiac/low-carb diets. It's open late, for a winery, and is a relaxing place to have a good time with a spouse, date, and/or friends.
Great food, Bought some balsamic and some garlic olive oil that I can't wait to try
Always a great place to stop. They have wine & also ciders and their food is wonderful đ they host many great events, as well offer their event center for weddings and such. Always love coming here! â€ïž
Love Crow River Winery! The staff is friendly, the wine, beer, and cider options, even the N/A options (blackberry lemonade) are all amazing. Big fan of the ciders personally! We love summers on the patio, the convient table ordering system, + kid friendly out there! The bistro options have all been great, love the seasonal menu add ons too. Our favs are the Standard Pizza, the Brussel Sprouts, the Pretzel sticks with beer cheese and the chicken tender basket. In the spring their Reuben pizza is a must try.
Great prices, food, cider!
After searching long and hard for a venue, my husband and I stumbled across Crow River. When we visited for the first time, we immediately knew this was the place we wanted to get married at. Not only was winery beautiful itself, but the staff were beyond helpful and very accommodating. We had Chex mix and cheese platters for the wedding party set up for us as a small lunch before the ceremony, and the staff were quick to help us out with any problems or questions that we had. Overall it was a great experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a venue of any sort!
I loved the space/setting/vibe. The pizza is to die for and one of the wines I had (cab-like) was excellent and I usually don't like cabs. I'm looking forward to returning.
Wonderful winery. Went for the grape stomp and had a great time. They have some amazing wines and the event was really well done with lots of great vendors, delicious food, and even goat snuggling. Will definitely be back.

Great pizza and wine but needed to do something about the flies. With the fall weather coming and the sun shining, we still decided to eat indoors but flies were a little annoying
We were there this afternoon (Saturday Sept. 14) thinking of have some wine with lunch, but we didn't receive our food, waited over an hour, asked about our order, were told never got it, so they started making it, at least 4 tables of people came in ordered drinks and food, they received their food and drinks, we then went to pay for the drinks the bartender wanted a tip and said we are very busy, nothing about being sorry that we didn't get our food. So don't think we will go back!!!!
Wedding Date: Sunday, August 11.
First, letâs start with the positives: the ceremony went smoothly, the venue itself is beautiful, and the wine was a hit with our guests. From their perspective, the wedding seemed perfect.
As the bride and groom, we faced several challenges. During our January 13, 2024, tour, a snowstorm prevented us from viewing the outdoor areas. Despite this, we chose the venue and their top-tier package, which included décor. Excited to avoid sourcing décor ourselves, we requested images of their décor before signing the contract. The venue sent photos on January 15, and we liked them, so we booked the venue a week later.
On February 4, we asked when to select dĂ©cor. The venue said anytime but recommended a few months before the wedding. At their March 3 bridal fair, we asked if it was a good time to discuss dĂ©cor. They said, âYes, that would be a perfect time!â. However, when we arrived, they seemed uninterested on selecting the specifics, saying we had plenty of time. So, we focused on speaking with other vendors like the DJ, caterer, and makeup artists.
By June 14, we contacted the venue to finalize décor. They said the General Manager would reach out soon. After no response by July 15, we followed up and finally scheduled a meeting for July 26, just two weeks before the wedding!
Before the meeting, we reviewed the January décor images and listed our preferences. To our surprise, none of the décor we liked was theirs! It had been brought in by other weddings. This left us scrambling to buy our own décor just two weeks before the wedding, causing stress and added costs.
During the décor meeting, we discussed ceremony locations. Options included Box Elder, North Lawn, Vineyard, and Courtyard. We loved the idea of a vineyard wedding in August, but the venue told us no one had married there before, and they only had two wine barrels for setup. Disappointed, we moved the ceremony to the North Lawn.
On the wedding day, we arrived at 7:30 AM, expecting breakfast and a ladder for décor setup. However, the reception area was still being cleaned from the previous night, delaying us by over an hour, and we had to request both the ladder and breakfast. Once cleaned, staff set up décor, but the head table was missing decorations. They initially claimed we chose not to have any, but after finding the correct picture, they resolved it, allowing us to proceed in time for the ceremony.
Despite these challenges, the ceremony and dinner went well.
We planned to end the party at 10 PM, as our contract allowed us the venue until midnight. However, at 9:30 PM, while still on the dance floor, staff told us to start cleaning the bridesmaids' and groomsmen's suites. It was frustrating to leave our guests to handle cleanup with 2.5 hours still remaining at the venue.
In conclusion, while the venue was beautiful and our guests enjoyed themselves, we were disappointed with the venueâs communication, planning, and execution. These are just a few of the issues we faced. If we could do it again, we wouldnât book this venue or at least choose the most expensive package, as it didnât deliver the value expected.
**A suggestion for the venue: please take individual pictures of all available décor options to make it clear what is included for future brides and grooms.
By looking at the reviews, it must have been my unlucky day.But what me and my son went in there. We usually stop there once a year when we go out to the cemetery. And I had asked her if me and my friend could have a taste of one of the wines that were voted 2024 winner, So she comes back and gives us one little glass like.We were supposed to split it.So I thought I'm not good even saying nothing. So I gave it to my friend to then.I several. Can I get one of those old glasses?Do you have them for sale? And she says they're over there so I go over and look for him and I find it.I come back to pay for it.There's like 5 to 6 Young girls back there behind the Counter and I'm standing there with the glass to pay for it.And they just kind of look at me and keep walking around. So finally I'm like.Could someone help me here, No response and then finally one lady came up.She was.Can I help you and I go?Yeah I wanna buy this glass. So she rings it up and says do you want to receipt?I said know thats ok. She said we don't have any bags,I said ok. Never said Have a good day thank you, See you next time, nothing. So I will not be going back there again.
Emily was our waitress and answered all of our questions and made our experience wonderful. Loved the winery and the experience!! So recommend!!
