I’m not one to usually complain but my god. Place reeked of cat urine, took way too long to get 2 rolls of sushi with how few people there were in there, once I got the sushi it was deep fried not to a crisp.. but to a rock. It was literally so hard I have to carve out the innards of the sushi just to eat it. I’m not one to complain about my food to a place because I don’t like the cooks spit either but ya… place is ishy

This location is quite small with limited seating as it is an old fast food joint, maybe 20 tables. We arrived at 530 on a Saturday and waited 30 minutes to be seated. I would recommend reservations. Service was slow and servers appeared to be rushed. We had only been seated for a minute and the waitress asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed a few minutes. I mentioned I'd like to order a beer and she walked away before asking the others at the table if they wanted drinks, so we had to call her back. After drinks, she came back 10 minutes later to take our order. We ordered an appetizer, sushi, and an entree. The edamame was large portion and came out fairly quick. The entree came with soup and that came quick as well. It was quite a while before the entree came out and sushi came 15 minutes later, so in all, it was probably an hour before we had all of our food on the table. The sushi was not bad, my expectations were not high for Hutch, but they had too much sauce on them which ruined the flavor for me. The rolls were large and filling. The hibachi was well prepared and delicious.

It must be noted that the staff worked very hard. That aside, the appetizers were appropriate: Edamame very tasty and good portion size, Pepper Tuna Titaki very soft with light pepper kick, Rock Shrimp had too much breading but had good flavors. Unfortunately, the sushi rolls were the poster child for a desperate cry for help. The compiled sauces and "topings" made a mess out of what better sushi would strive for as a balance between concise flavors, proper presentation, and in turn, would match their descriptors. The two entrees were the Valcano Roll and Big Bridge Roll; both of which resembled some oddity of a smothered burrito. The rice was overcooked and somehow had enough room to retain additional fry-oil; this made for a chewy, messy, and unfortunately a disappointing experience. The experience was mutual within the group; however, the consensus had to be reached independently as the entrees were delivered many minutes apart.
