This place was weird. It’s in a hotel and it’s obviously the place where they serve the hotel breakfast in the morning. But whatever.
So my wife and I just wanted a quick simple bite to eat and a couple of beers. First off the beer selection was weak. They had poutine on the menu. Which of course we ordered. Then we were gonna split some chicken fingers. Those also came with fries. We didn’t want the fries because we already had the poutine. We asked the server if it was possible to just charge us for the chicken fingers. She didn’t even bat an eye and said of course. The food was pretty good. After a long wait of trying to get our servers attention we finally got the bill. My wife saw that she charged us for the whole chicken fingers platter. When we asked the server what the deal was she said she couldn’t charge us just for the chicken. She was just gonna sneak that in and not tell us? We said nope that’s ridiculous. We told her we wanted to speak to someone in charge. She went over to someone and they played on the register for a couple minutes and she brought us a new bill that was discounted. If she just told us from the beginning when we asked it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but to be sneaky and charge us anyway is not cool and certainly not the Minnesota way. This place is lucky there’s not a lot of competition in the area as far as places to eat because anywhere else they would be closed by now.

Wednesday night. Almost nobody in the restaurant. Waited close to an hour for our food. Kids had to wait for their food while we already received ours. I had the fettuccine and it was unbelievable how small it was, size no joking. Taste was good. Really disappointed. Waiter apologized but also was not very honest in how much longer we would have to wait. Left a very amateurish impression.

My husband and I came on a day with beautiful weather. It was nice and cool so we had a wonderful time outside. Service was fantastic - our waitress was good but other waitresses checked in on us for water and drinks. Between the two of us we had the elk burger and a chicken salad. Both were fantastic. Inside smells a little like chlorine from the hotel pool, so definitely would recommend eating outside if you can.

Our food was average at best. My elk burger tasted unseasoned and over cooked. Husband's burger was under cooked and he couldn't finish it it was so bland. The baked potato was smaller than the cup of sour cream that comes with it and we had to cut out a brown spot in it. We also waited forever for our food and did not get a refill on drinks until the food finally came out. It seemed like the other server was visiting all their tables and we sat there ignored. The only thing I could recommend was the French fries.

There’s not a lot of restaurants here but if you want to have a good meal, come here. We had the Poutin fries, Pork Loin and Walleye Fish - all were excellent. And the drinks…oh, our bartender had a strong pour..she made a mean old fashioned! The chef had a lot of pride for in his dishes and came out to make sure we enjoyed our meals.

My wife and I came here for dinner. The place wasn't too busy so that was nice. We ordered an appetizer of Poutine and it was awesome. The waiter was the best. He said it was slime his third day there and he did really good. The food was also very reasonable in price and tasted great.

We decided to try this restaurant out today. My partner had the falls burger and I had the Elk burger and my mom had the Caesar wrap. The food was delicious and reasonably price. The waitress was polite and nice and she checked up on us often to see if we needed anything else which was nice. We found out that the Elk Burger was made from real Elk meat and the bison burger was made from real Bison meat. We will definitely be going there to eat again.
