My husband and I came on a day with beautiful weather. It was nice and cool so we had a wonderful time outside. Service was fantastic - our waitress was good but other waitresses checked in on us for water and drinks. Between the two of us we had the elk burger and a chicken salad. Both were fantastic. Inside smells a little like chlorine from the hotel pool, so definitely would recommend eating outside if you can.
Our food was average at best. My elk burger tasted unseasoned and over cooked. Husband's burger was under cooked and he couldn't finish it it was so bland. The baked potato was smaller than the cup of sour cream that comes with it and we had to cut out a brown spot in it. We also waited forever for our food and did not get a refill on drinks until the food finally came out. It seemed like the other server was visiting all their tables and we sat there ignored. There’s not a lot of restaurants here but if you want to have a good meal, come here. We had the Poutin fries, Pork Loin and Walleye Fish - all were excellent. And the drinks…oh, our bartender had a strong pour..she made a mean old fashioned! The chef had a lot of pride for in his dishes and came out to make sure we enjoyed our meals.
