Super rude staff unwilling to help an elderly woman with the kiosk
The food is always delicious! But the customer service is always awful! Tonight was my worst experience though. I used the kiosk to order my food cause as always nobody will take your order for you and when you use that kiosk you can't ask for extra crispy fries nor ask for your root beer freeze extra thick. So I stood there waiting for them to ask me what I needed and they just looked at me and ignored me. Than my food was ready and the girl just slammed my bags in the counter and said absolutely nothing to me. So I went to the counter to ask if it was mine and she glared at me and ignored me. Than one of our burgers was supposed to be plain and it was not. So I went to the counter to tell them and they were snotty and someone back in the kitchen i could her then throwing stuff around. It is nothing but a bunch of snotty teenagers that work their always. If the Baldwin store wasn't so far I would go to that store and NEVER GO TO INVER GROVE HEIGHTS EVER!!!!

Food was good but service was terrible. The people working were incredibly rude and throwing stuff around including our food and drinks. Once our food was ready they proceeded to slam it down on the counter. If you don’t like your job then you should leave and not work somewhere where there’s people.

Workers were extremely rude. The one girl slammed 2 bags on the counter and walked away. My wife had to go ask if it was ours as the girl gave her a shitty look as she walked away. Asked for plain bacon cheeseburger nothing but meat cheese and bun. Opened it up to lettuce and other stuff. When wife took it back they gave her attitude. Just terrible service tonight!!! If you don't like your job go find another where you don't deal with people.

So the only reason I'm leaving the review I'm leaving is due to a few reasons, the first of which is the staple of A&W restaurants was missing. That staple is an ice-cold frosted mug that you get with a crisp and cold Root Beer. (Only available via Fountain in paper cup). The second is the restaurant itself is very clean, staff were friendly when we entered but there is no interaction with them except for when you go to pick up your food. (They do not have table service). Third is that payments are digital only inside via a kiosk (debit/credit cards only), and cash is only accepted via the drive thru. Parking lot is large and was entirely empty when we arrived. The restaurant itself is in a great location and is very clean. Restroom were well kept and clean as was the dining room, and has memorabilia and many unique items on display. Kid friendly food items are available.
Other than that we will be back as the food is still amazing.

Excellent burgers, freshly made, perfect meat:bun:toppings ratio and tastier than many more upscale places I've tried. Fries are McDonald-esque, not my favorite but I realize that type is popular. My root beer float was 20% root beer 80% soft-serve. Would have been better had those percentages been flipped around.

First time at A&W in IGH. Nicest and cleanest fast food establishment I've been to in a while, lots of character as this location is retro. Touch screen ordering was a very pleasant surprise. Food came out super fast too and was piping hot. Thank you!

We went in and ordered from the kiosk. Paid. Waited. While waiting watched the staff be rude to a customer that asked about his drink. The staff replied rudley there's cups right there and walked away. I politely showed the customer where the cups were located.He thanked us and made a comment about the way he was told and not being informed. While there we took our food outside. The sun was shining so we put the umbrella up. The staff person made it a point to comment we were already in the shade. One of our party has a sun allergy and the comment nor her attitude was needed. It's 80 degrees out. Umbrellas are there to be used to block the sun? We asked about the coupon we had for the free small root beer float. She told us we could either show her or she would have to put it through the kiosk. We told her whatever was easier for her. We'll just show me then because I don't want to have to go through all of that to get it for you was the response we were gone . There was an employee that said hello and was cleaning up the lobby area. He was great. I understand not being able to please everyone. It was not very busy at all either when we were there. The food was great. The staff young and inexperienced. A&W used to be known for their customer service. Not anymore.

This was becoming my go-to spot for something quick to eat until today when I spent $25 on 2 meals and I couldn't eat mine because there was mold on my burger.

The food here is really pretty good. The hamburgers are a good size and have a nice flavor. The fries are crispy and satisfying. The ordering kiosks are a bit grim and the people working there seemed annoyed to hand you food. There were sections closed and weird lighting that gave the place a bad vibe so I ended up eating in my car.
Parking: Plenty of parking although the lot is somewhat annoying to get out of.

Great fast food experience. The burger was yummy, not greasy at all very pleasant change from Mcdonalds. The staff member who took our order and called it out was friendly and inviting.
