Mallards Restaurant

Took my 85 year old old mother out for her birthday on a Wednesday and thought it would be quiet. Very wrong! Even in the booth it was hard to hear. Food is good and nice service. They gave her a piece of pie to celebrate. Won't take her back due to noise.

We had a party of six including 2 children, ages 9 and 11. Overall, service was good and all like the food. The problem we had, we waited 45 to 50 minutes to get our food after ordering it. The waitress did provide a couple of fritters for the children as they were very hungry. One of the party ordered fritters to have with her dinner, however they were served about 25 minutes before the dinner.

My jambalaya was fantastic. My server Karlie was very attentive and friendly. She made it an even better experience. I’ll definitely be coming back to Mallards in Inver Grove Heights!!!

Nashville chicken and waffles, OMG! This was the best combo I have had in a long time. So good! Waitstaff was attentive and great food and experience. Highly recommend!

Hot chicken sandwich was outstanding. Cajun fries were really good too. Great service and atmosphere.

The restaurant itself is nice but unfortunately we did not have a good experience with the food. The walleye bites tasted like pickles and they were extremely salted. The lobster on the lobster roll had literally grains of salt on the top (french fries were good). The lobster bisque had a very watery consistency and was totally bland. Service was not the best either.

We came in for a later evening bite, and were greeting and seated right away. Taylor was our server and so kind and accommodating, she went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful dining experience yesterday at Mallard's! The food was fresh and delicious. And our server, Karlie, was exceptional! We look forward to our next dinner at Mallard's Inver Grove Heights!
