I was served the best sandwich I ever had. It was called the Haystack, of something like that. The sandwich was served before I even got done paying. Quick service. Friendly staff. Loved it.

What a fun place to visit and the food is top notch. I had the pastrami sandwich and my husband had the mushroom Swiss burger. We both had chips and coleslaw (the French fry cooker was malfunctioning). My sandwich was on focaccia bread and the burger was on a regular bun, and my husband said the bun was really good and didn't fall apart during the eating process. The waitress was fabulous, the other patrons were awesome and it felt like home, even though we had never been there before.

This is basically a small, hole in the wall bar. We walked in and expected to be greeted. That didn't happen. We found seating and the table was dirty. I wiped it off with wet wipes I had in my purse. We expected a server to come & take our order. That didn't happen. This was a late Saturday afternoon, October 5th, very few customers were in the bar and there were 2 people behind the bar talking, laughing & being attentive to the customers sitting at the bar. We waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged and have our order taken in which neither one was done. After discussing the lack of choices on the menu and prices we felt were too much, we got up and left, going 4 miles into another establishment that did want our business. We won't be going back to this place because of the lack of service and acknowledgement of our presence. We would have spent at least $60 on food, drinks & tip that would have stayed in the local economy of Isle had we been treated with courtesy and respect.

It was pretty busy, but we were able to be seated in the quiet dining room, which I really liked btw. The waiting time for my food was really long, but there were only a few workers so I wasn’t that surprised. I was also sorta disappointed when I saw they didn’t have milkshakes though, but it’s a bar, and I should’ve expected it. Overall, food was pretty great !

Had chili dog special (2 for 12) w smoked mac & cheese; another person had Reuben w potato salad. The dogs were good (#1/4 ea), served on fresh buns capable of handling the well prepared and portioned chili and cheese. The smoked mac was done well too. The Reuben was excellent, not greasy or soggy at all. Again, the bread was fresh and nicely toasted, the craut not too salty, and a nice amount of dressing was applied. The salad was light and creamy, though a little bland - nothing that a little S&P couldn't fix. Planning to go back to try a burger and pizza.
