This is my absolute favorite place to get coffee, breakfast and lunch!
The people that work there are the best!

Nice place for a cup of coffee
We made a special trip out of our way to try Smokin Java and they lived up to the hype! Greeted by the friendliest people, all our questions quickly answered, recommendations given and the service was amazing! The food is some of the best we've ever had! Kudos to all of you! You definitely need to stop and dine here!

Smokin Java catered our JHS class of 1970 reunion last weekend. The food was beyond delicious ( pulled pork sandwiches, cold slaw and baked beans) plus the dessert bars were amazing. The entire class thanks you!

Small town coffee shop. Totally worth the short detour off of 90 (5 minutes). Lattes and waffles were delicious!

Good experience- food and drinks were good. One downside was that we didn't know the food on Saturdays is only breakfast food until we were ordering.

I visited Jackson recently to spend time with family, and we stopped by this coffee shop every day for four days. Unfortunately, the service was consistently underwhelming.
To share today’s experience which is not far off from any other day, the young woman taking orders was noticeably unfriendly and made it clear she had no interest in providing a positive customer experience whatsoever.
Yesterday, we ordered the burrito with smoked brisket, but it didn’t contain any brisket at all—it seemed like we were given the wrong item. When we politely mentioned it the next day (which also happened to be my birthday), the cashier dismissively responded that the filling was “all mixed together,” without offering an apology or solution.
To make matters worse, she got our coffee order wrong. Although she corrected it at the register, she didn’t communicate the changes to the barista and didn’t rewrite it on the counter for him. (The barista seems to be extremely busy and I can understand he is managing the chaos of everyone’s orders on his own but the horrible attitude every day truly changes the atmosphere of the shop).
When I tried to clarify the issue, apologizing over and over again for their mistake, she looked at me with a blank face - which was very weird, and the barista took over arguing he made the right order, and still the young woman had a blank face and did not say a word - I left my coffee on the counter and walked away very uncomfortable knowing they were frustrated and busy. I sat down for a few minutes. I awkwardly had to ask again if they were making the drink, and I was told they had other orders to take care of first, and I ended up waiting over five more minutes for the correct drink.
Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing which is unfortunate because we love our ice coffee treats when we get together and especially this visit because it is my birthday and our last morning together during my visit.
