While visiting Lake City for a family reunion, I stopped by Heidi’s Huggamug Café for breakfast—and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Rise & Shine and it was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and flavorful. You can tell they put care into every part of the meal, from the perfectly cooked eggs to the crispy hashbrowns.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy small-town charm that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed and inviting experience from start to finish.

This spot is a true gem, and I can see why it has such great ratings. If you’re in Lake City, make sure you don’t miss Heidi’s Huggamug Café. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

We were visiting today, and tried the special chicken bacon wrap. It was so tasty. I would buy it again. Don't forget to pick up the large cookies. Yum

Heidi’s is a wonderful place to eat and visit. Our family called in early morning and they reserved outside tables to accommodate 20. Fabulous food.

Amazing breakfast Heidi!! 🥰☕️. Quaint breakfast cafe in Lake City we visit every time we come in town to golf. Biscuits and gravy and breakfast burrito all the way! Fast service especially for how busy they are on a Saturday am!

I ordered a med 20 oz ice coffee and got a glass full of ice to the top with maybe
6 oz of coffee. It cost me $5.75 and i really felt ripped off. I'm never going back their because of this. I had been going there for about 4 years until this one time i ordered ice coffee and got iced.

Cappuccino was bitter, probably should’ve gotten a latte but I ordered waffles for my breakfast and didn’t want too much sweet. I ended up not eating my waffles, because they didn’t have maple syrup. Waffles were served with Smuckers corn syrup/high fructose corn syrup blend, which I tried but did not care for. I was very surprised at a small little cafe in Minnesota there would be no maple syrup to go with what I think would’ve been a very tasty waffle. My husband ate some of my waffle with the corn syrup, and I had some hashbrowns which were very good and a couple bites of omelette which were okay. Sadly don’t think I would come back here but it was very cute and people were very friendly. Hubby liked his hot chocolate.

This cafe was a comfortable oasis in a cold windy day. The soup was incredible and we all loved our sandwiches. The owner, although in the middle of baking ten sheet pan cakes for the local high school, came over to see how we were doing. We will be back again and again.

The cookies we got were to die for!

Heidi has done it again! The consistent quality of the out of this world hash browns makes the world a better place. It’s been three years now that we’ve traveled to Heidi’s for these hash browns and they are the same as we always remembered. Perfect crunch, delicious buttery flavor, and salted with wisdom. You don’t understand the potential of a potato or breakfast until you’ve been to Heidi’s.

This restaurant and coffee shop is AMAZING! The lattes were delicious and the skillets were perfect. My husband said the raspberry flip is, “The best thing I’ve ever tasted”. In addition, Heidi was very kind and the service was impeccable. We will definitely return when we come back to this region.

Heidi herself is a beacon of warmth and hospitality. She welcomed us in within minutes of the kitchen closing time— and the kitchen was able to make a custom vegetarian breakfast burrito as well. (It was delicious!). She also gave our dog a pup cup, which was such a kind gesture. We always return whenever we are in Lake City. This kind of gracious welcome stands out. Thank you.

We live in Red Wing and wanted to go out for breakfast. But most restaurants in our town are closed on Mondays. So we thought we try this place. Far and away, hands down the best waffle I have ever had in my life!!!!! My husband let me try his hashbrown. Those were fantastic as well. We will be back. Yummmmm!! I wish they were a bigger place. They would be crushing it with customers then. So good.

This little cafe has everything you might need: specialty coffees, hot breakfast and yummy bakery treats. We stopped here on a quick weekend getaway and liked it so much we came back the next morning. I love that there are so many coffee syrup options. I wish we had a place like this closer to home. If we are back in the area, we will definitely stop back in.
