The hours said it was open, but it was definitely closed, and almost looks abandoned. Not a good first impression.
Great little winery , left with several bottles , owner super friendly.
Awesome guys!
Stopped by because it was on our route and we had a wine passport. Should have just kept going. The building is quaint, bit that's it. Hard to want to drink any wine when the guy is digging in his ears touching his face then handling bottles. Wine was exceedingly sub par. We get up to leave and he was charging us for a tasting that should have been free with our passport. I'd say avoid this place at all costs. After we left here it felt like the rest of the day was ruined.
Tasty!
John was a great host. Knowledgeable about wines and has been in the business for many years. Amazing and unique wines! Worth the stop.
Change your hours... just tried to show up. Website states you are open on Friday starting at noon, we show up and not open until tomorrow
My daughter and I stopped here yesterday— what a great experience! The owner was extremely friendly and the wine he suggested was excellent! We will be back!
Wine is sweet but very refreshing and not overwhelming. OWNER IS FRIENDLY, but might be a little lose on his memory
"REALLY" good wine being a beer and whiskey guy. Pictured here is a bottle of the "King of the North." Went really well with the t-bones we cooked over the camp fire. The only draw back was that the bottle seemed to have a "hole" in it that caused it to disappear fast. ???

We took our maiden voyage in our Motorhome and came to Stockholm. We stayed at Maiden Rock Winery and it was wonderful! Herdie, one of the owners, was so pleasant and informative. We purchased some hard cider, cherry vinegarete dressing and jam. They are quite busy even on a Sunday and it's because of the great ambiance and excellent products.
Very cute winery with awesome hospitality. I would definitely return.
We spent an afternoon in Stockholm and drove up to Maiden Rock Cidery. I'm not a wine fan but I love hard cider so this was really fun for me. Hardy (sp? I hope I'm getting this right!) was a wonderful sample host/bartender and described each of the samples well and was super helpful in making a selection and in helping me get my purchases ready for packing. I hope he is reading this so he can know my bottles made it safely to Texas all wrapped in the bubble wrap he gave me and I can't wait to finish them all off. Thanks again for a great experience and the excellent samples! The drive up to the cidery was scenic and then we stopped for pie and a bit of browsing at the shops in Stockholm. I guess if you are expecting a hard core winery this might be disappointing but if you want to see a pretty orchard, meet nice people, taste some local hard cider and select from a variety of apples then this is your place.
What a wonderful winery! My hubs and I visited this afternoon and had a fabulous time. Phenomenal wines- we ended up taking a few bottles home, you’ve gotta try the Frontenac Gris and the King of the North. Delightful owner who was very knowledgable, and had a great peach
Maiden Rock winery was a delightful visit stop on our Wisconsin visit along the river. They had a wonderful array of wines and hard ciders. In fact, we have found nothing in the midwest to match their hard ciders.
