Great service provided today but very busy so took awhile for our order to be taken and over 30 minutes for our food to arrive.
This is truly a local gem and I visit every time I'm in the area. Food was great!

Unfortunately, I can only do a max5 stars. If you haven't been here, it absolutely needs to hit your bucket list. Home town food. Country fried steak, crispy hash browns and delightful gravy. Corned beef hash like mama made. Kari is a beautiful soul.

Wow! What a hidden gem. The food here is great, the portions are big, and the prices are reasonable. In 2025 that’s the trifecta!

Stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago and we were greeted and treated with such kindness, we felt really welcomed.
I ordered the special of the day, something I'd never had before called Porcupine meatballs. My meal was comforting and filling. I'd visit again on the account of the service alone, the waitress (sorry I can't recall her name but she had short brownish hair and glasses) was so nice. She shared with us a few places up the highway we should visit. Her friendliness was so appreciated and genuine.
If you want good food, something like your grandma would make, and great service, I'd say give them a try!

I remember stopping here with my Grandparents, c. 1975. I don't think that much has changed, which I love. I had a seat near the front window and I could watch vehicles coming down US HWY 61. A train went by too, along with The Empire Builder en route to Chicago. I had a wonderful breakfast. And speaking of 1975, this place does not accept cards. But there is an ATM on site that will charge you $3.00 to get cash. I should have stopped at a Kwik Trip and gotten cash for free on my CC. It always bothers me when places do this.
Bring the kids...

Make sure you bring cash! They don't take cards and will charge $3 to use their ATM. Food was good, but service was very slow. Seems like they catered to people who live in the town better than visitors. Took about 10 minutes just to get coffee. My wife's food was already cold when it got to the table. The train theme inside is just some model trains on the wall. Kind of disappointing as someone who loves trains. My mug was a yellowstone mug, why wasn't it a train themed mug?

A fantastic local cafe! Sunday “biscuits and gravy” special and a catcher’s mitt sized pancake! If you go away hungry, it is your own fault.

Had a great time and really good food. A local recommended us go. It was a very good recommendation. Would totally recommend anybody to go. Sometimes the not so flashy places are the best places to go.
