We stayed next door at the Holiday Inn & Suites (which was excellent!) and after a LOT of review hunting/reading about The Machine Shed and it's Sunday buffet we decided to give it a try. We should have just ordered off of the menu and saved the $22.99 each for the buffet. Although there were quite a few breakfast items (2 kinds of eggs, bacon, sausage, small cinnamon rolls (no frosting), hashbrowns, sausage & biscuts, pancakes) lunch items were sliced ham & prime rib, a couple of soups, lasagna, some kind of pork brisket that was more like bbq sausage) Some of them were just luke warm, nothing was super hot. Salad bar was ok but not super loaded with fresh veggie items. Pineapple was great! About 4 types of desserts were average. Pop was $3.79 for a small glass (free refills) and NOT included in the buffet. We were not wowed and should have just gotten entrees for half the price. Yes, you get choices but that's really what you are paying for. Hot fresh food would have been better than out of a warmer. We didn't eat more than a usual sized meal anyway. Our server was good but the host sat us right up next to a very large family group of 18+ with young kids even though there were clearly quieter tables for 2 in other parts of the restaurant and it was like we were almost right next to their table. They were a fun family group, however, we would've appreciated a little space so we could converse and enjoy our meal. Won't do it again.

I just dined at Machine Shed today. Service was great. Food was delicious. I had the baked potato soup, beef brisket and then apple dumpling with ice cream. It’s definitely worth a repeat performance! Thanks again.

Ordered the corned beef hash with biscuit and gravy, two eggs. Tiny, tiny little cubes of mystery meat mixed in with my hash browns. Cold biscuit with cold, bland inedible gravy. Hash browns were hot, and eggs were very good. Server was great. Noticed I did not have coffee. Removed it from tab. Left a 30% tip for the gal, but won't be eating there again.

My Mom and I frequent the Lake Elmo location for breakfast 2-4 Saturdays per month, and always request a table in Donna's section: she is the best server we've had, no matter the restaurant. Thank you Donna!

The food was amazing, but even more that was the incredible service. Both our servers were friendly, prompt and enhanced our dining experience. We look forward to our next visit.

I have visited MS on many occasions. The trip to Woodbury was the worst experience. We got there at about 1030. I ordered the Country Fried selection. When it came, the Steak was not able to be cut with a serrated knife. It was left in the fryer about ten minutes too long. Eggs and ash browns were good, but te bad meat took away the joy. I did nit eat the Biscuits and Gravy as a result. Took that hoe and had it the next morning. Worst B&G I have ever had. Tasted like they put Onions in the sauce. ISH!.

We had heard good things about recent changes at the Machine Shed and decided to give it a try after church. I chose the buffet and my wife and kids all ordered off the menu. The buffet was full of some excellent options and the chef even came out to help my identify keto-friendly options and what to stay away from. The parmesan crusted chicken was incredible as was the sliced roast beef. The eggs had good flavor and despite being at the end of the pan when it wasn't particularly busy, still looked and tasted fresh. I saw many happy faces at tables around us and we will certainly return. My son had a reuben that he was very happy with. He's eaten reubens at many places and only thought it could have used a bit more meat. The flavor was great and not greasy like many he's had have been. My wife had a good Cobb salad and my daughter enjoyed her artichoke dip (she tends to go for appetizers).

poor service cleared the table of our drinks and silverware when we went to get our food and then could not even find a waitress to help us. very poor selection of food for the price ,

Food was terrible. Mom and wife both ordered eggs benedict. They couldn't even cut through the muffin. It was tough and burned on the bottom. Brought this to the attention of the waitress. Said she would notify the manager. He never came over to apologize or even ask about the food. They both even complained about the hash browns. They were cold and not completely done. I had their breakfast buffet. My experience was a bit better, but less face it...have to try really hard to screw up a buffet. Surprised that when we asked for ketchup for the hash browns...that they didn't bring out a container of ketchup, but a small plastic container that was only half full. Wasn't even enough to cover the hash browns. Bad experience all around. Manager visited the two tables next to us. He appeared to make it a point NOT to even come over. Will not be back. Should of taken pictures for this review, but didn't think of it at the time.

Went there for lunch today with my grandson, not only was the food terrible and very overpriced, there were fruit flies all over My grandson forgot to grab his Apple ear pods off of the booth when we left and when we went back to see if they were in lost & found or if server (Frank) had picked them up or if bus/dishwasher found them they said no. However my grandson could look for them with his phone and they were detected but no one said they had them....world is just simply full of dishonest people. Very disgusted and dissappointed!

Outstanding breakfast, as always. Donna is an absolute rock star, and a true blessing at Machine Shed; she's the best server we have ever had at any restaurant, hands down!

Overnight in the area enroute from Idaho to PA. Close by the hotel and menu looked good online. Not super hungry, so we got the chicken pot-pie and classic Reuben with sweet potato fries. My wife ate half the pot-pie and was full; I finished it, ate half my sandwich and took the rest for tomorrow. They also brought out "fixins" ... big dinner roll, pumpkin bread, coll slaw and warm applesauce. All really good! My wife would have preferred more cinnamon on the apple sauce. Service was quick and friendly!

Had potato soup, fried chicken dinner, spinach and artichoke dip. Also had the Mac and cheese. All very bland and runny. The banana cream pie had one tiny piece of banana in it and was mostly whipped cream, but did taste pretty good. The graham cracker crust was good. This was not worth $100.00 for sure. I really felt like I was eating cafeteria food.
