My family has always loved ordering from Eddie Chang, and it’s truly the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. We’ve tried other places, but nothing compares to Eddie Chang’s quality and flavor. The staff is always incredibly kind, and the owner is a sweetheart who remembers my name and makes every takeout experience special. I also have some dietary restrictions, and she’s always been so accommodating and helpful. It’s always a wonderful experience.

Excellent food, excellent service!
FANTASTIC food, pictured is just HALF of the sesame chicken and pork fried rice combo, with an eggroll. The portions are great! I can get dinner and tomorrows lunch from one order. I highly recommend this location. I’ve ordered plenty of times and it’s been great every time. Also super nice staff :)

They are all friendly and I love the food.
Enjoyed our lunch. Counter person was friendly and efficient. Just a few tables so not exactly set up for eat in, but we did and it worked just fine. Sesame chicken, lo mein and steamed dumplings.

The egg foo young was great. The hot and sour soup was meh to bla.
Go ahead and get the egg goo young, skip the hot and sour soup it is neither hot nor sour.
Always order carry out. Service is always fast and friendly. Food is always outstanding and delicious. I've been going here for many years and will continue to!
I love Eddie Chengs! Once I moved away from Lakeville, I was instantly sad. But the best alternative is ordering before I leave work for pick up and it is always ready so fast and stays hot on my 30 min drive home. They package it perfectly to keep things secure and hot! My favorites are the eggrolls, chicken and mushrooms, and the chicken fried rice and Lo Mein! Great portion sizes as well!
Great place, very fast service, might need more msg
A place to grab a bite and go. Not conducive for a sit-down meal. Gr8 portion size.

This is our go to Chinese food place for Friday night. The food is absolutely delicious and the people are very polite and accommodating.

Vegetarian options: While there do have some tofu options this place has gone down hill in terms of taste. Kung pao is known to be spicy and even has the pepper symbol denoting the same on the menu. It is not even slightly spicy. Tonights general tso's was the same-non spicy entree. And while you get plenty of meat or tofu you literally only get 4 small pieces of broccoli with an entire 16 oz block of tofu. The amount of sauce is not in proportion either.
I guess we will just choose to make our own Chinese at home. I'm sad because overall they have always been nice people and we have tried to patronize their restaurant as much as possible because of the people.
I would suggest making it possible to add extra amounts of veggies or sauce.

Friendly small business for your consistent and reliable Chinese take-out needs.
No, it's not 'authentic' Chinese (if you want that, check out Mandarin Kitchen in Bloomington, Yangtze in St. Louis Park, Little Szechuan/Lao Sze Chuan in Mpls, or Asian Mall in Eden Prairie). If you want Americanized Chinese, you should go to one of the many Panda Express or Leeann Chins. But for a quick and convenient Chinese take-out option south of the river that is almost always open; check out Eddie Chengs in Lakeville!
I've had some of the other few around here: Tak Shing, Lakeville Chinese, Egg Roll King (AV), Golden Wok, etc. At the end of the day, I gravitate toward Eddie Chengs (Lakeville) due to its quality, consistency, and price. The people that runs it is an added bonus!
I've been here over a decade now and the family that runs the restaurant has always been welcoming and helpful. Seen their kids grown up over the years as well. While many businesses along that strip mall has come and gone over the years (RIP Cherry Berry); Eddie Chengs has been a cornerstone there and have continued to serve delicious eats over the years! Check it out if you're ever craving Chinese take-out and want a cheap and reliable option to making dinner!

Shrimp egg rolls are awesome, garlic chicken lunch special was good but I thought it would be a little spicier.
The gal who took my order was super friendly! Definitely deserves a good cash tip ?
