We went to Gary's with some of our best friends and have to say that it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Not only was the food fantastic, our server was as good as the food was - Maddie was one of the best servers we have had in a long time!

In a word… AMAZING! We’ve had dinner at Gary’s several times- each occasion the food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere super fun! MADDIE was the BEST for service; so appreciate someone with such an honest review of the menu and an ability to make excellent meal and wine/cocktail paring recommendations based on a few inquires… her suggestions were SPOT ON!!! BEST and most PERSONABLE SERVICE EVER! Maddie gets 5 stars only because we can’t give her 6… or 187… which would be more accurate ? Thank’s for a great Birthday Gary’s… see you again soon!
This has become our go to place for date night! Our first visit 2 summers ago didn’t go well because another guest was causing a scene out on the patio, but our babysitter started working here, so we decided to try it again, and we are so happy we did!We always order the popovers and oysters for starters. It’s so hard for us to pick an entree, because I’m torn between the Gary’s chopped salad, chicken Marsala or the watermelon feta salad when it’s on special. All 3 are SO good and the portions are huge for the money. I always leave with a to go box.The service is always incredible, even when it’s packed. We’ve sat in the bar, at the bar when we are in a hurry, and the dining room, and we are always greeted promptly with a smile, checked on several times, and never have to wait to long for our bill. Thank you to the entire staff at Gary’s for making our date nights A+!

Food was good. Had the Lemon Halibut risotto but hard to enjoy. Cold space, the waiter moved us but in the way back next to a loud large group. Just hurried up to get out of there. And it was on a Wednesday early dinner. Not very good date night :(

Went to Gary’s on 4-14-24, a Sunday, at 8:20pm. When we walked in there was no hostess, and a gentleman standing at the Pulltab’s said that the kitchen was closing in 3 minutes. I asked if they were still open at 9p and he said I’m just the messenger. Was a very off putting interaction, definitely didn’t feel welcomed.I can understand if it was 8:50p but it was 8:20p 40 minutes to close and was looking for a quick sit down meal. They didn’t want the business and I walked out and don’t ever see myself returning

The food was very good, the service was quite poor. The Parmesan encrusted walleye was excellent as was the house Manhattan. The other people at the table all enjoyed the prime rib French dip. The downside was the service. We ordered starter salads and some in our group were still finishing their food when our entrees were served. Not a big deal but plates were passed across others as they were finishing their salads. Again, not a big deal just unprofessional. Secondly and again this is not big but waters were not refilled at any point. Lastly, some people were not finished with their dinner and the server brought out to go boxes as in while bites were being taken. Then while we were again still eating, the bill was dropped. We got there at 6 and we were out the door by 6:45. Nice job turning the table. Tip reflects level of service.

Wow! First time here since it has been Gary's... everything was Fantastic. They were super busy and the bartender, Jesse, let us know he'd be right with us and continued the awesome service the whole time. The food was so yummy and the concept was mid-century modern (my fav). Thank you, Gary's. It is rare that we experience wins in atmosphere, food, AND service! Huge W!
