Awesome place, great service. The wait staff is always prompt and courteous and the FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. Definitely a must go location in beautiful Lanesboro! 10/10.
PS, get the mushroom soup!

Ate here on a Friday night with my son. All the food was excellent (Mahi Mahi and the Poutine as an app). Cool atmosphere-quaint little place. Plworkers in the kitchen greeted us as we walked in and the we sat upstairs. Service upstairs was friendly.

Great location by the river. Super friendly people, food was tasty. Interesting approach as the staff deliver the food and pickup the dishes but don't take your food order at the table. Staffing is difficult for everyone. The Pumpkin Cream pie is a must have!!

First, this place serves some of the best food in Lanesboro but it is very disorganized and by far the most expensive fast casual dining you will ever have.
The dining experience is not what we expected. Tho we made reservations, that merely holds a table. The rest of the experience is basically the same as a Culvers, where you wait to order at a counter and then your food is brought to your table (but they also give you a beeper, have no idea why).
The cocktails were terrible. Not sure if they were just made wrong or that is how they are. Both of what we ordered were terrible.
The mushroom soup was spectacular.
The fried chicken was very good.
The pasta was boring.
We ordered pie and to be honest, it tasted about the same as frozen pie from the grocery store.
For every course, I had to go to the counter and wait in line.
The staff was not rude but seem to be wandering without purpose asking people if they ordered the food they were holding even tho we were all at numbered tables and had beepers.
Our meal, cocktails (2) and deserts were $127.
I have been here a few times over the past few years and had the same basic experience.
The location on the river is excellent. The food is above average for Lanesboro.

Worst service ever... my mother wanted to buy us dinner/drinks because we were on our bikes riding on the trails from preston. She didn't want to accept her card info... understandable... so we bought we bought a gift card to the restaurant... we showed the owner the gift card number and we stood at host desk to be sat... she once again asked us... do you have form of payment while we were being seated in front of everyone... she was clearly upset that we came back... not sure why! We went up ordered our drinks without a problem and sat down... noticed I had a chip in my glass and it was cracked... no big deal went back up asked for a new one like anyone would... she took the glass back to the dish washing area out of eye sight and "stained it" so no new ice no nothing... at this point I asked for a new drink because I didn't know where that peice of glass could have been... she continues to argue with me and says want me to get my husband I say yes please... he asks her was there a chip she said yes. He says then just give him another drink? She gets upset and say fine you deal with it... he apologizes she comes back pissed off pours another one and continues to pour it into a small dixie cup... she tells me and my wife to get out and never come back... so we leave... I was never rude, unpleasant, or argumentative... I just simple wanted a new drink in a fresh glass anywhere else in the world would have been happy to oblige... terrible service over absolutely NOTHING

The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant.. the owner was horrible, extremely rude and refused to give my husband another drink after he showed her a chip in his glass.. we watched her strain out the drink into another glass and try and serve it to him… then the owner grabbed her husband and he told her to make my husband another drink. She then proceeded to make a new drink and pour it into a Dixie cup.. told us to leave and never come back. We will never be back.. the owner has a horrible attitude problem. What she did is definitely a health code violation.

This restaurant far exceeds what I expect in a town as small as Lanesboro. Great ingredients and presentation. We had a large party and had an exceptional experience. Menu changes often so may not be relevant when others visit, but the mushroom soup, green been app, beef bourguignon, tortellini, and the burgers were all fantastic. I respect their creativity in making the most out of it to bring this quality of dining experience to a small town. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Juniper's is such a great place to spend an evening or afternoon in Lanesboro. The food is phenomenal! They're raising the bar of quality and taste with a menu that's always got something classic and something fun and new. GET THE MUSHROOM SOUP and the cauliflower. You will not regret. I love taking my family and friends from out of town because it's such a relaxing, BEAUTIFUL place to enjoy the Root River on the patio, and their gorgeous planters create the best vibe. The staff is always helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure guests are happy. Ame and Tyler are passionate, driven owners whose dedication to making your experience wonderful cannot be overstated. Highly recommend to cap your fun Lanesboro adventures!

So disappointed. The sign clearly stated that lunch service stopped at 3pm and drinks only from 3pm to 5pm. We decided to go in and have a drink after shopping. Before I could say anything the lady at the counter looked at me and said we are done serving lunch and no food service until 5:00pm. I just said we would like drinks only. She said no. We have to turn over the tables for dinner service. I just said thank you and left. Will not be showing up for my dinner reservation later this evening. Lost a customer

The owner has a very bad attitude!!!
1. The owner was EXTREMELY rude!!!! Very disrespectful!!
2. Service was HORRIBLE!!! Very unorganized. You get better service at a fast food restaurant.
3. We gave the atmosphere a 1 because of the rudeness we experienced. That turned us off to the entire experience. Fix your attitude and it might be more inviting.
4. It became very apparent that other customers were as uncomfortable as we were.
5. Food was so-so for the price!! Pretty boring.
6. Drinks were terrible. We order the same drinks wherever we go. Very simple to make. Not sure what we got, but not what we ordered.
We were afraid to ask for something different. Not sure what kind of attitude we would encounter if we did.
7. This place is definitely not worth your money.
8. I sincerely hope the owner will learn professionalism and gain a true appreciation for her customers. Please take a course in customer service. It will serve you well!

The quality of the food and drinks is outstanding. We love their mushroom soup and the hydro salad for the first course. All of our entrees were delicious too-beef dinner, beet salad, tacos and smash burger. Great service by very happy upbeat people!
Food was amazing! Best in Lanesboro. Staff is very friendly. Make sure you make reservations. Lots of outdoor seating. This is not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter then they bring the food out. Wish we were in town longer. We would have liked to try more menu items!
Juniper's was excellent! Very generous portion sizes and lovely ambiance right next to the river. It would be nice to have wait staff, but I understand that is difficult to come by in a smaller town, hence the “fast casual” where you walk up to order. I am confused by the tipping situation — if you don't have a wait staff, then what is this money going towards? The owners are lovely people — Ame is full of energy!
Really enjoyed the casual service with first class food! The beef was amazing! The appetizer of fried green beans in an Asian sauce was delicious! The owners were personable and informative! Had a great experience.
