I ordered a scotch ale and it was amazing. Great staff, purchased a tshirt and pint koozie. A must stop if you're in the area. I was very impressed with Lanesboro and hope to return again...Great town!
Great beer, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic staff!
Very nice place! Super nice owners! Nice small town small town service with big brew taste. You can tell the brewer loves to make beer. Definitely would recommend. Beautiful Place. Thank you for serving us. That left us with a lasting impression! We Will visit you again! (Very Drinkable Beer) Rhonda & Greg
Apologies for interrupting your Birthday evening and thank you so much for a taste of your new beer, Sasquatch; that too, was 5 Stars!
Always a favorite stop as we are out enjoying the beauty of the Driftless. A wonderfully friendly staff and tasty beers
We visited Sylvan Brewery in April while exploring the quaint town of Lanesboro. Although the trees hadn’t bloomed yet, you can tell this place would be absolutely stunning once spring is in full swing—nestled right in the scenic bluff country.
The brewery itself is really well-built with a cozy, welcoming vibe. There’s plenty of seating inside, plus a great outdoor area that I can imagine would be perfect on a warm day.
They offer a great variety of beers to suit most palates. We tried a flight that included:
• Lanesbrew (American Lager) – Crisp and super refreshing, one of our favorites.
• Willow Citrus Wheat Ale – Light and citrusy, great for an easy sip.
• Gnarly Old Ale – Rich, flavorful, and full of character—definitely a standout.
• Butterbeer Weisse – A fun, slightly sweet way to wrap things up. It made a great final note to the tasting.
On top of the drinks, they also offer pizza and a few snacks onsite, which is a nice bonus if you’re feeling a little hungry while you sample.
Overall, Sylvan Brewery is a solid stop if you’re in or around Lanesboro. Great beer, good vibes, and I’m sure the view gets even better as the season turns. Would definitely return!
Great beer! You gotta try the Cran-Orange Sour!
I can't say enough how they went above and beyond for our wedding reception, everything was perfect. Thank you so much to Andy, Ollie, and the rest of the staff for the butterbeer sours and the best wedding reception. You guys Rock!
He offered us samples to try and we ended up drinking the oxbow and it was real good. The vibe is nice and the server was polite. Recommend.
This is such a fun little spot and the beer was great! Bartender was friendly and let us taste lots of options. The decor and ambiance is top notch- such an unexpected surprise!

Always a must stop while in Lanesboro. The new sours are great.
Great brewery with a wide selection of different types of beer. Impressed with the selection of sour beers and if you are an Amaretto Sour fan be sure to try their Amaretto Sour beer as it smells and tastes just like an Amaretto Sour.
Great variety of beers, chill atmosphere, and lots of outdoor seating. Super friendly staff too.
Goldmine! The watermelon sour was delicious, the welcoming dog friendly patio with friendly staff & guests - WOW!
Nice brewery, great outdoor area for seating. A wide variety of board/card games to play on site. Tried three different sour tasters which I enjoyed 2 of the 3 options. The inside area wasnt the best atmosphere however we were able to sit outside in the nice weather. The staff was nice, would say it’s worth a stop!
