Staff did an amazing job serving our group for my son's birthday party today. They were very accomodating, the pizza was great, and everyone had a good time!

I really wanted to like The Muddy Cow in Litchfield, but the food missed the mark this time. The onion rings were not fully cooked and had raw batter in the middle, and my goulash came out cold. That was pretty disappointing.
On the positive side, our server did a great job — very friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, the kitchen quality didn’t match the service. Hopefully this is something they can improve because the staff up front were great.

One of the 3 worst restaurant experiences I've had. I've driven by for years and had others tell me I should try it. We had a basketball tournament in Litchfield and the team wanted to eat at muddy cow. We had a large group (10 adults and 10 kids), the place was maybe 1/3 full. Our service was terrible the waitress took our orders at three separate times and the adults ordered first then the teens and the kids table was last. Our food came out in 3 batches. Most at the adult table were done eating by the time the kids got their food but two of us at the adult table never got our food. We had to ask the waitress where it was. She brought the other adult his missing food but it was obvious it had sat under the warmer for 20-30 mins. The bun was completely dried out. He took the bun off and ate it anyway. I had to ask again for my food and it came out after he finished his. I hadn't got my food for over an hour and 45 mins. Everyone including the kids had there food and was done eating by then. The waitress only refilled our drinks once in the 2hrs we were there and we had to ask for that refill. I had nothing to drink when my food finally did get there. I'll never go there again and I'll share my horrible experience with others.

Oh and I almost forgot... I think 3 out of the 5 bills were wrong and had to be fixed.

We were part of a group of 12. • The server did not know what beers were available on tap. • After waiting, I had to go to the bar myself to see the tap list and order my beer directly. • Our family’s food never arrived. • We asked about our missing food twice, and it still did not come. • When the server later checked on us, she seemed surprised that we had not received our food. • We received one order of wings, but we had ordered two. Ordered dill wings, got plain wings. We asked for dry dill seasoning 2x before receiving it. • We waited an additional 10 minutes for the second order of wings. • At the end of the meal, the server had to come back and ask us what each person ate and drank because it had not been properly rung in. • Closing out the bill took a long time, with multiple follow-up questions and delays before receiving our change. • We were at the restaurant for 2 hours and 15 minutes. • Guests who arrived after us were served and left before we did. • The server repeatedly stated they were “very busy,” but this did not explain the level of disorganization we experienced.

Food was decent but way over priced. The coleslaw served taked like feet and was brown, clearly old. Service was okay, but the waitress was moody and quiet, made us feel like a bother. Paid $13 for one drink and later my husband got a single jack and coke and was charged $25.50. Have heard other people say that the workers add their own tip, but didn't think it was real until after last night. Will never be coming back again. So disappointed in this place, it has gone so downhill.

well, where do I start? Would it be the body temperature onion rings, or maybe the same onion rings redunked in hot oil and then put back into the same basket with as much of the oil as possible in puddles passed off as new rings? Would it be the cremated and dry burgers? Or maybe constant service failures?
No, I think I'll start at some shady freaking receipt goings on that added almost 5% to the ticket hoping I wouldn't notice. On second thought, no I think I'll start at the end where the waitress tried to get a 25% tip by 'being out of change'. Yeah, I did notice that.

Our waitress forgot to place our groups order. After a 45 minute wait, and trying to get her attention, someone else came over so we could inquire about our food. We watched her place our order and inform us it was because 2 larger tables came in before us. No,they didnt. Plus everyone around us that came in after were served and leaving. It was over an hour. The food was far from good and my coleslaw was horrible. We were ignored by staff when trying to get their attention. At no time were anyone of us rude.

Received very poor service today. Waited over an hour for our food. Realized that the waitress forgot to put the order in! Was told would be ready in 5 minutes and it was over 10 when we finally got our orders. Other customers that came in after us received their appetizers, food or pizza. Coleslaw in one of the orders was tasteless and looked old.

Been to the Muddy Cow a few times. Today husband and I each ordered a cheeseburger with fries. It was beyond dry with no lettuce, onion or tomato. Burger was waaay overcooked and dry as a bone. The fry seasoning is funky and so overpowering you can't taste the fries. Grandson ordered chicken strips that were tough snd chewy along with fries he didn't eat. What kid doesn't eat fries??? Very disappointed.

The Muddy Cow sign reads “Not an ordinary sports bar” as an advertisement. The very description that it is an ordinary sports bar, however, applies to the restaurant in my opinion. There is a large selection of drinks, the usual bar food (burgers etc.) and of course many screens and a few slot machines for children. The food doesn't taste bad, but it doesn't taste extraordinary either. When we arrived on a Saturday, the kitchen and Service were understaffed and we had to wait a very long time. You can stop here, but you can't expect anything special.
