Been coming here for the last 4 years. Love the area, its nice and quiet, and the food at the restaurant next door is always good. We made a bonfire on the rocks a our first year and watched the shooting stars. Great memories made and beautiful location.

Perfect place to spend a solo hiking trip. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Enjoyed views of Lake Superior and relaxing nights at the lodge after long days of hiking. Loved having access to trails right outside the doors of the lodge. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy some quiet time.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room and service was good. There's a good restaurant here. You can also walk to beautiful falls. The surrounding area is full of beauty, wonderful hiking opportunities, cute towns and good restaurants. I wished I had a full week or two!

We have come here every fall for 41 years. The lodge is surrounded by Cascade River State Park and the park is surrounded by Superior National Forest. It sits on the shore of Lake Superior half way between Lutsen resort and Grand Marais, a great little town. We take hikes in the woods and at night we can cook in our cabin or go out to any of several good restaurants. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

We stayed at base camp 5b. The room in general was fine and I would have left higher stars if it were not for the cleanliness of the bathroom. There is some serious mold in the shower and the bathroom is in desperate need of a refresh. Another thing to be aware of is there is no AC which was not really advertised. Otherwise the hotel is in a great location and with some updates would be a great place to stay.

Cascade Lodge Restaurant has been a favorite of our families for years! Consistently we have received friendly experiences with the staff and enjoyed excellent food while vacationing on the North Shore in all seasons. We choose your restaurant over others for the excellent menu options and the lovely experience of dinning in a lodge style restaurant. It is also sincerely appreciated that you offer a variety of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options on your menu. Our daughter is vegan due to many sensitivities. It is so nice to have your restaurant to dine at verse just cooking in our cabin. Thank you!

According to previous posts from Cascade Lodge and Restaurant shared they were closed for 2 weeks to make things even better for guests. We checked in 12/13 and had rodents in our cabin. We were offered $50 off and two breakfast sandwiches. Do better. We have stayed here before and will stay elsewhere from now on.
The restaurant was the best part of the stay.
