I am thrilled that I found Park Lake Resort and Campgrounds in Mahtowa. It is fantastic. Pretty lake, beautiful campsites, friendly staff and a great restaurant and bar. Very quiet and clean. I strongly urge you to consider it. The sites are well spaced. The food in the restaurant is great.
Waited for 30 minutes to get a drink and our order taken! literally everyone that arrived after us got their food! Got here at 6:35 still waiting on our food at 7:48! looks like we are the last ones served! No condiments at table no napkins! bad food bad service!
We just happened to stop in on a Monday, which was two for the price of one burger night. We were not planning on eating but couldn't pass up that special. We left full, even sharing an order of fries, and these were not frozen patties. I had the Cajun burger without the bun, and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger. Wonderful flavor, and the fries were good too. (Better than chips) So many friendly people there, we met Kevin and Bob, and you could play Booty Bingo or Connect...
