Saw a sign for Hubbell House on a drive down to Rochester and it caught my curiosity. Husband and I had an anniversary dinner there last night and would definitely go back. Amazing history, comfortable dining area. Onion rings were plentiful, light and airy and perfect amount of salt. The filet mignon was excellent. . They gave us a delicious piece of coconut cake to celebrate, my husband is not a fan of coconut but raved about this cake. The rest of the food was great too. I’d recommend and look forward to taking the drive back someday.

Nice place and great history. The Bartender in the lounge was overworked and could not keep up with the amount of work expected of him. Management needs to address this.

We had a fantrastic 46th wedding anniversary dinner at the Hubbell House on July 14th! The food was outstanding but the service was even better. Tonee was very attentive and made the night extra special. We had a number of questions about the history of The Hubbell House so she went and got Alaina the owner to answer them. Alaina spent a bunch of time with us making the evening more special. Thanks for a great anniversary!

A long-time favorite of mine. We went on a Sunday evening with 2 other couples. My husband and I were mildly disappointed because we ordered prime rib, but the were informed they were out. But we had (medium-rare) filets instead, which were amazingly prepared, tender, flavorful, and juicy. Loved the preparation! Love the atmosphere of the town and building and its history. One feels as though they have stepped back in time when visiting. That’s part of its charm for me!

Parking: If one can’t find street parking, there is a lot in back. Gravel, I believe.

Kid-friendliness: All ages are welcome. Maybe a bit pricey unless for a special occasion.

Prices are outrageous! You can read about our latest experience at “Eat Beat Chronicles” Facebook page.

Overall, the experience and atmosphere was really cool. The food could have fused a little more flavor. I got the 8 oz. Filet mignon, even after being cooked it had no flavor whatsoever. We had eight people with us and the majority said the same about their meals. For the price I expected better.

Americana! Historical setting, rich in heritage and many great stories. The staff is professional to a T, the food was marvelous and the overall experience was well worth the hype.

Kid-friendliness: Not really kid-centric. Definitely an adult atmosphere with fantastic throwbacks to the prohibition era. Great service, great cocktails, excellent food!

We went to the Hubbell House yesterday for a celebration event and had a terrible experience. Ordered a ribeye and got a NY strip instead. Our server said “sometimes they are cut differently” and “chef said it’s correct” and the chef didn’t even look at what was served. Eventually the server brought the steak to the chef and they made a ribeye. When he served the correct one, we were asked if this one is “better”. Very inappropriate and lack of respect for their food and customers. Everybody makes mistakes and people understand that, but you own up to your mistakes and that’s how you learn and earn respect. Disappointed and would not recommend.
