Went in to purchase some bread. Service was poor. Several young ladies standing around talking and not paying attention. Finally got noticed and asked them to slice my bread which they did. Not asked if I wanted anything else. Had to ask for a bag. Simply very poor customer service. Quality has diminished. Too bad because it was st one time a very good bakery.

I was there in the morning this week and there was no fresh bread.

Yesterday, I visited Great Harvest for the first time, as recommended by a friend. I bought two loaves of bread to take home.
The sourdough bread was freshly made and arrived warm and delicious. I absolutely loved it!

The place is simple and give us a cozy old school bakery vibe.
The staff seemed busy, and there weren’t many of them. I had to wait a few minutes, but that was perfectly fine. Overall, I had a great experience.

My neighbor just brought us a loaf of the cranberry bread!! I had to ask her where she got it because it was AMAZING!!! As soon as we opened the bag the smell was heavenly!!! The bread was absolutely delicious!!!
If we lived closer we’d definitely be loyal customers ❤️

What in the world happened to this place? The customer service is abysmal. We walked in and nobody acknowledged us even after standing at the counter for several minutes. I asked if they had any cinnamon rolls and the guy behind the counter just shook his head. SHOOK HIS HEAD! Couldn’t even say the word no out loud? Not a single staff member uttered one word to us. I’m still shocked.

The cheddar garlic bread is heavenly. Service was a bit slow but gave us a chance to browse the donuts next door

I've been visiting this Great Harvest every so often for the past 3-4 years and each time it seems to go downhill in terms of quality and service. Last year we got a loaf of bread that started molding within two days. Was also in recently and it seems like the staff is not trained--they all operate as if it is their first day both with customer service and making sandwiches. Staff seems lazy and it took 20 min to get two simple sandwiches. Sandwiches were smashed and greasy and some ingredients tasted old. I recommend being more thorough in your hiring process to employ people who can at least make a sandwich in a reasonable amount of time. The owner needs to work with their employees to make sure they aren't cutting corners.

EDIT** I was told to reach out and I did. I never received a response :(

I absolutely loved great harvest and I always used to take bread home to my parents in Madison Wisconsin since there isn’t one there anymore.
This location has gone downhill. Please listen to your customers. I don’t want it to disappear like the Madison one!
The last time I was here I called ahead to have them put aside a loaf of sourdough for me before going to pickup and I brought it home to my parents in Wisconsin and it was NOT sourdough. They said it tasted like normal wheat bread. I went in to the store and they said they couldn’t do anything for me. How disappointing.
I went in today because it says they are open and again, no sourdough and they aren’t serving sandwiches? They directed me next door. Very confused. My visits are becoming less frequent due to my recent experiences and I used to buy bread here all the time.

Where do I even start?

First, the service was terrible. No one looked up for quite a bit when we walked in or made effort to acknowledge we were present. Should have been a clue to just leave.

It took forever to get three sandwiches. Nearly 20 mins and we were the only people even there.

Another gentleman then came in and stood at the counter for 10+ mins before anyone offered to check him out for his bread and cookies and there were 3-4 employees working.

Lastly, the sandwiches were truly inedible. We had to throw most of them away. My bread tasted almost moldy and I couldn’t eat it. It literally tasted rotten somehow and the turkey inside wasn’t much better. My son’s bacon was barely cooked. My husband’s wasn’t made correctly and his meat also seemed uncooked.

I have felt physically ill since eating there. $42 to have terrible service and feel sick. It feels terrible to waste money and food in this economy but it was unbearable. We won’t be back.

I've never been to a Great Harvest but I'm sure not going back. I didn't even know you could make bread rancid. Almost $50 for three awful sandwiches?!

Really great service! We came in on Labor Day, and while they were a little backed up as far as sandwiches, and out of the stuff for the drinks we wanted, they were very transparent, kind, and accommodating about it, and made sure we still had a good experience. It's clear that they care, and we'll be sure to come back!

What happened to this place? I used to work down the road, went for lunch quite often and I i loved it. Wife and I stopped in to grab lunch yesterday, waited 10 minutes for someone to take our order, even though multiple people he walked right past us at the register. Finally, had to ask if we had to order online or something. Some girl begrudgingly helped us. We watched as the same thing played out with other customers after us. There were 8 or 10 people working, it took us forty minutes to order and get 2 sandwiches. When we did get them, they didn't have the avocado spread for my wife's sandwich, or tomatoes and although the menu said cabbage, it came with lettuce, although the menu said pepperjack cheese, it was some other cheese.
The energy in that place was palpable. No one talked to each other, no one cares in there any more. Too bad, used to love this place. On to the next...

Not only is the bread AMAZING, but the woman who waited on us was very kind and made an awkward situation with a gift card go very smooth - much appreciated!!

I am extremely disappointed with both the selection and customer service during my recent visit. I stood around waiting to be acknowledged, and ultimately had to approach someone myself to ask about sourdough bread. The response I received was simply, “We don’t have any sourdough bread”—with no attempt to offer an alternative, explanation, or assistance.

The employee I spoke with appeared completely disengaged, and none of the other staff greeted me or acknowledged my presence. I couldn’t help but wonder if this lack of basic courtesy had something to do with me being there with my special needs, disabled son, who is not yet six years old. Regardless, no customer should feel ignored.

On top of that, the store itself was disappointing. Many shelves were empty, and what little bread was available looked old, hard, and cold—far from fresh. The focaccia on display was rock hard, and I didn’t smell fresh bread anywhere in the store. The atmosphere was more of a hangout for employees than a bakery, with several young staff standing around chatting instead of helping customers.

This is especially disheartening because on a previous visit, the sourdough and focaccia were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the drop in both product quality and customer service has made it clear I will not be returning. Customer service and fresh products should be the foundation of a business like this, and sadly, both were missing here.

Just stopped for a sandwich today. Seems like we were a bother to those working there. It took 15 minutes to make 2 sandwiches and mine came without 3 of the listed ingredients. No avocados or tomatoes available ... come on Great Harvest! I won't be back!!
