We ordered a sandwich, some savory pastries, and some sweets. Everything was so good we ordered more for takeout. Great selection.

As a hapa person I am interested in the Asian aspect of the bakery and in that way I thought this place was just ok. The pastry selection is not as good as tous les jours just up the street. I had the crab croquette and almond pastry and they were just ok. The Korean milk coffee is a bit boring. More expensive than tous Les jours. Overall will not be back.

Overwhelming array of choices. Good quality for a big box franchise style operation. A bit overpriced. Not a great place to hang out for a prolonged period of time.

I stopped at the Maple Grove location on my way out of town, as I live an hour away. I got 2 pastries & 2 slices of cake but they got one cake wrong unfortunately and I didn't know it until I got home and unboxed them. I asked for a blueberry chiffon and rcvd a chocolate chiffon. While the quality was STELLAR on everything, I was really looking forward to the blueberry one. Maybe next time.

We went 30 minutes before they closed. They had turned off their oven, and we could not have a grilled cheese warmed up. They were also out of several options for drinks. The pastries were their saving grace.

Amazing pastries. Coffee is good too. Automated espresso machine.
This is the 3rd time I have been here. Last time was with my family from out of town.
Snooty front line/ register person. I don’t run into very snobbish and condescending people very often in MN. (Other big cities, or even in hoity toity cafes in Paris, sure there are plenty). This person probably got out of the wrong side of the bed, but her manager should’ve put her not customer facing. She seemed very annoyed as she was ringing me up. And it wasn’t even busy. 1030am on a Friday. Makes me think twice before I go back here.
(If management want to address this, this happened today)

PEOPLE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES, BEWARE OF CROSS CONTAMINATION HAZARDS
Unfortunately, my experience was NOT GOOD OR SAFE. Staff did not fulfill a specific & achievable food allergy safety request, which resulted in me ingesting an allergen that could have caused me serious harm.
I'm allergic to tree nuts. I requested staff to use a new/clean knife to cut a slice from a fresh Blueberry Chiffon Cake that was confirmed to be uncut in the kitchen. The combined explanations between myself and my mother included the relevant context, even if disjointed, that A) I have a tree nut allergy, B) I'm concerned if current tools/utensils that'll be used to prepare my order have touched food products containing tree nuts beforehand, C) I'd like new/different utensils for prepping my order, and D) I'd like a fresh slice of cake that isn’t cross-contaminated from utensils. Staff confirmed they would accommodate my needs.
While eating my Blueberry Chiffon slice at home, I bit into small shattered pieces of something hard, which I knew wasn’t right because every part of the cake looked soft. My mother confirmed by taste testing that it was pieces from a pistachio nut that somehow got into/onto the cake slice, which I might have partially ingested. Thankfully, I am physically okay and didn't need hospitalization. But I'm NOT OKAY that food allergen safety protocols (particularly preventing cross contamination) are NOT thoroughly followed or carefully considered at your location to protect customers like me who put our trust in staff members to properly accommodate our safety needs.
One staff member that helped us had answered my mother's question about cross-contamination, saying “We aren’t really good about cross contamination.” However, that same staff member seemed to understand the steps required to keep me safe based on the context heard. So, I trusted that my request would be CLEAR from staff member to staff member and that the completely achievable tasks would be properly completed. It's clear now that the comment was an honest & relevent admittance that staff at your store DO NOT correctly or carefully implement basic allergy safety precautions, if at all, in unknown & unseen ways to some unknown & unseen extent. Which is SCARY when I'm trying not to ingest food that can kill me!
There're many possible reasons why pistachio ended up in/on my cake slice. Did the cutting board/mat or plate/dish holding the uncut Blueberry Chiffon cake previously hold any of the pastries I saw containing pistachio nuts? Was the same knife used to cut those pistachio pastries before my cake slice? Was the knife set down on a sticky surface where pistachio products had previously been and pieces stuck to the knife? Did someone not change their gloves between handling pistachio products and my cake slice? Had pistachio already contaminated the frosting or the cake mixture during the baking process? These possibilities and more, make the detailed & accessible allergy warning labels in the display cases MOOT and provides FALSE SENSE OF SAFETY. All the food at your store is a potentially life-threatening safety hazard for many people because cross contamination isn't taken seriously behind the counter.
It's PERTINENT you address this as a whole store. IMPROVE EFFORTS to prevent basic cross contamination in the ways that are controllable & changeable. INCREASE AWARENESS with updated information & education about the HOWs/WHYs of food allergen safety protocols. KNOW that just ONE staff member poorly & unsafely handling food can result in customers needing hospitalization or even dying!

friendly service which was nice!
it was pretty empty on Sunday morning at 9:30am which was odd.
i got 10 different pastries for $60 and every single one looked amazing, 10/10 aesthetic.
But every single croissant i got was heavy, not light or fluffy, missing the aeration and lamination that a croissant requires. a lot of the pastries and croissants had way too much icing, frosting, or filling.
lastly, the pastries with the fruit were covered in some weird preservative gel to make the fruit shiny but it also made the fruit taste unnatural, like a fruit snack.

Yummy fresh pastries!! They have a lot of varieties and great coffee choices as well.
We shared a bunch of different options and they were all good.
I'm glad they're located across town or I'd be there all the time :-)
They're not the cheapest place but the quality is high so it is worth the price.

It was fine, staff weren't exceptionally friendly but it was comfy and the atmosphere lighting and food were good
This is primarily a patisserie, the selection is huge of high quality croissants, cakes, breads and other treats. Some sandwiches too, but go here for the pastries! Pleny of seating in a bright open space if you want to stay while.
