We went to Portillos on Sunday, April 14th, around 1ish. I loved that there was a gal outside to take our order! It was so much better than someone on the microphone. She was very sweet. The gal at the window was very nice and updated us 2 times since our fries took long (not even long, it was about 3 minutes). The food was absolutely amazing! I got a bacon cheeseburger it was a bug bugger! The meat was done just right! It was juicy and fresh! The frys were fresh and just the right amount of crisp. They were amazing! Oh, course, the cheese sauce was ?. My boyfriend got a hot beef he said the meat was really good and fresh. He said it was cooked perfect and had amazing flavor. We will definitely make the hour drive and get this on a weekend! Also, side note the chocolate cake shake was amazing! I rather come here than any big "nice" sit down restaurants!

The food would've been a 4 for sure if my friends brat with all the additives wasn't so water logged by the pepper water and other juices that soaked the bun to a mooshy mess. Mine was great though. ??

A large group of us stopped in on 3/23/24. Most in our group have never had the Chicago experience. Everyone was very pleased and look forward to returning!!!

We finally hit up the legendary Portillo’s six years after it opened. After eating there, I’m willing to let another six years pass before we go back.My family of four got a lot of food and a variety of menu items. Everything was just OK to good. The burgers were good, but nothing amazing. The chicken tenders were fine. The shaved beef sandwiches were… good. Fries were room temp. Onion rings were better, but not great. Nothing stood out as a reason to go back soon.Service was good, but a bit chaotic. Employees seemed disinterested, though they were polite.A kids menu is desperately needed as an 8-year-old doesn’t need a 6oz burger.
