10–20 May 8, 2025 me and my family enjoyed a dinner here for my brothers 43 Birthday. Our experience was very good, food was top notch, service was great, and location was nice with lots of parking close by. This restaurant was also very respectful to our group as we has a severe dog with and the restaurant staff were very welcoming... However a naboring older couple dint approve of the dog but only gave us the stink eye the hour we were there. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!
I had a combo with a beef taco and chili relleno. Good meal. Disappointed in the chips. I had heard that they were really good. Typical chips. Not warm and thick.
I got the Birria tacos with the rice and beans. I saw the reviews about the birria tacos here so I figured I would give them a try and shouldn’t have. The reviews saying that they’re flavorful weren’t true. It quite literally tasted like flavorless pot roast in a tortilla. The beans and rice were the best part of the meal. ALSO, I ordered churros and they were super hard. Worst Birria and Churros I’ve ever had.

I would not go back to Riviera Maya. I had higher hopes for the chips and salsa, food, and service. Definitely can find a better authentic Mexican restaurant option than this!

The service was fast. We got free chips too. The chicken in the enchiladas was seasoned and flavorful.

Both dishes were a bit salty. Not the first time we've experienced salty dish here.

Very nice setting with some of the best fajitas I have had in recent years and attentive, friendly service.

Editing to add: I’ve now developed food poisoning. All I ate was the elote at home and chips & salsa while at the bar waiting for our Togo food. I’ve been sick since around 12:30a - it’s now 3:30a and I’m getting worse. I’m hoping it passes on its own and I don’t need to go to the hospital. I’ve never experienced this before and it is so awful. I’m in so much pain.
Please change your hours of operation if you don’t want to serve after a certain time. We felt pushed out after ordering food Togo and a drink 45 minutes before close. Then we’re told we couldn’t pay with card at the very end. Luckily we actually had cash but typically we don’t. What would we have done if we didn’t?? I loved this place and the food. We were what I’d consider regulars. But going forward I think we’ll go elsewhere. This is the “restaurant capital of Minnesota” there are plenty of other places we can go give our money that have accurate hours listed.
Normally love this place but it's obvious they want to close earlier than posted hours. If you want to close early, update your hours(simple) Appreciate the owner/manager staring us down for several minutes as we were trying to pay (with a card they couldn't accept but didn't bother mentioning until the very end). He did finally stop after taking his alcoholic beverage in a to go cup. I guess that drive home gets a little stressful.

Takes a long time but food was good.
Got Bandera Burrito- Sloppy mess. Hard strips of old flavorless steak. Chips taste stale old. You don’t want to see a photo! Do you?? I ate the tortilla off it lol. Definitely won’t be going back there.
