For all of you Fried Chicken connoisseurs out there, I have tried multiple different fried chicken places over the last 15 or 20 years, living in multiple different states. I really do have to say by far, out of all the brand name and non-brand name chicken places out there, the chicken served at Chicken Connection, in Marshall, Minnesota is by far, one of the very best. Not only that, but their choices of sides, prices, quantity of servings, everything, is perfect. The only reason I'm giving four stars for service, is the fact that I'm allergic to onions, rips my stomach up immensely, and I didn't ask if there were any onions in anything that I bought at Chicken Connection just last night because you don't nornally expect there to be white onion chunks mixed in with your sour cream. Normally someone will put green onions in sour cream, and they are able to be seen against the white of the sour cream. So I called them up afterward and explained that I was allergic to onions, and ask him why they didn't tell anyone, or don't list on their menu, that there are onions mixed into the sour cream, and they reacted like I was nuts, and didn't really care about my food needs, but who knows, perhaps they'll place it on their menu, for others in my situation. Food for thought. Otherwise however, the experience was amazing and I will definitely be returning for the chicken, When I visit Marshall again. I would definitely recommend any that are seeking that perfect Fried Chicken joint, to make a stop in Marshall, Minnesota, at Chicken Connection

Place is a delight. Foods always up in less than ten minutes. Best deal in town for price. Chickens always great. The sides are delicious. Sometimes you can buy a homemade cookie. Make sure to get extra sour cream dip. Love it.

She grew up in Marshall throughout the 70’s and 80’s and still remembers this restaurant as very tasty and cheap.Well, a generation/40+ years later and I am delighted to be in agreement with her. Of course in the cities there are so many options for food, but when I say that Chicken Connection is genuinely one of the best chicken places I’ve had, I mean it. That aside, you can’t beat the prices. 2 light pieces of meat with potatoes, a biscuit, coleslaw, and a beverage all for under $10… (with generous portions) unheard of, or at least in the cities’ markets.The flavor is amazing, as well as the fact (I stopped in just before 6 on a Tuesday, for context) my wait was less than 5 minutes. Both individuals at the store were delightful and made some recommendations for me to try! Great place, ‘homey’ environment, friendly employees, and a convenient drive-thru! Truly, in my opinion, worth the 2.5 hour drive! I will be back!

It's OK the chicken was cooked perfectly it was just very plane I wish they had a spicey version. Or one with a bit more flavor. Also I wish they has actaul salad or a green vegetable of some kind. The beans were also very plain, not bad but plain.
