I was excited to try this place out that a friend told me about. We walked in and we were greeted right away by Julia one of the owners, she was very nice and accommodating to our needs, she filled us in on the special for the night we placed our oder and when the food came out it was amazing I usually will throw some horse radish on my steak or 57 sauce to choke it down, but my NY Strip was cooked to perfection mid rare all the way through it was so tender I could tell this was a hand cut steak and handled with care, I would highly recommend this place to everyone if your coming this way make an effort to stop in and check it out you won't be disappointed at all, the chefs name is Jeremy and we got to talking and he is a dynamite person to be around great vibes and spirit good friend type of person, can't wait to go back and see Julia and Jeremy great people to be with......

Good food (very plentiful) though my steak bites were well done rather than medium rare as ordered
Very friendly staff. Good value for the money.

We enjoyed our meal and the friendly staff. Having bread and soup/salad included is appreciated and hard to find anywhere else. Baked potato soup was yummy! Filet Mignon was great and so were the mashed potatoes! Finished the meal with cheesecake- delicious!
Hands down the best steak my husband and myself have ate at a restaurant!! Cooked perfectly and fast! Food was amazing, service was amazing and the prices are very reasonable!!! Good job guys!!
Went there for supper sat at a table for over half an hour with no service. We eventually left no one ever talked to us.
Really nice place to eat, I hear they're moving to being a steakhouse soon. Can't wait.

Budger served ribs, chicken, gratin potatoes for -about 400 people at the HS reunion in the event center. Delicious!! I would never get close to Maynard and not stop for dinner there!!
Awesome but. Don't be in a hurry. Great steak. Old fashioned atmosphere, bring your alcohol in a brown bag. Setups are available.
One of the best held secrets of Maynard Minnesota. For a great meal, steaks are the vest no one makes a Steak like Budger. A must if you in the area.

You would be hard pressed to find a better meal anywhere. I enjoy the fillet and love the rib eye, it is always hard to choose. But I always order the hashbrowns smothered in cheese. Owner Bill and the rest of crew are all wonderful people. If you are ever even close you owe it to yourself to stop in. Just a heads up- bring cash or check as they do not take credit cards.
Been to Budger's a number of times- always happy with the food. This is a small town dinner house, and I mean small-town! Population about 280 people, Maynard is lucky to have a place like Budger's. The food is fantastic- if you're looking for a fantastic, hand-cut steak cooked to perfection, go to Budger's. However, the decor is dated, so if you want cutting-edge style and hip patrons, this ain't the place for you. A warning to those with small children- They don't pre-cook the steak here. They cut and cook the steak to your specifications, and it takes a while. We've waited up to 45 minutes for our food on a busy night. Also, stick to the steak- it's what they are known for and what they are good at. If you like a good steak, I highly recommend it.
This is an excellent place to have a ribeye steak. Hashbrowns with cheese and onions are super. It does get crowded on the weekends but they do their best to accommodate everyone.
We have gone to Budgers for our Christmas party for the past quite a few years. We aren't a large group (35 people). We had the upstairs room to ourselves. We were told they would take our orders at 7pm (limited entrees to pick from, which was ok). I know they were busy downstairs, but our orders were finally taken around 8, and food arrived at the tables at 9:15. The food is always great, but the long wait was frustrating. It happened last year too. They deserve a 5 star rating but the wait time brought them down by one. I have only been there for our Christmas parties so I don't know what "normal" is.
Great local supper club. Steaks can be cut with a butter knife. The seafood is awesome. Be sure to have the hash browns with onions and cheese. Get there early.
