Rumors Bar and Grill Mazeppa

I swung through this quaint little town on my way back from Rochester. This was the only restaurant available. Initially I was excited. They had a big space, the food was talked up and there were games to play. The food was pretty bad, I couldn't even finish. A burger and fries is pretty hard to mess up but the hand cut fries were rubbery and the burger was severely overcooked. They had a quarter pusher machine that was rigged, and the pinball machine was broken. Was sad about the pinball because Adam's Family is my all time favorite pinball machine. The high note was the gal behind the bar, she said she was new but had a great personality and I enjoyed her banter. Definitely room to improve, but lack of competition perhaps has removed motivation at this location. Great scenery outside of bar!

Parking: Mostly flat parking lot, single level structure, easy in and out.

Wonderful bar food to take home so I don't need to eat at the bar. Thanks to the buff gentleman working in the back I had a delicious sandwich.

We go for breakfast every once in a while and the food is always good and hot. The service is kind of slow but that’s no fault of the servers. I feel like they should have more than one server on a breakfast shift, especially on a Sunday morning/afternoon.

They make their own hamburger buns! Highly suggest the mushroom Swiss!

We've come here a couple of times, I guess the food and service was good,(Nothing to right home about) probably a good place to eat, although the deck overhanging the Zumbro River regularly houses drunken and ignorant individuals that can't keep they're idiotic and senseless insults and jokes to themselves. Whenever I fish or set by the river at coopers park rather than listening to the rushing river and the sounds of a summer evening, I can hear shouts of the garbage on rumor's deck. One time somebody hollered to a friend to take his shirt off; picking on him for being fat. Until rumour's employees can get their customers to shut up or at least be confined within the walls of the bar I will, and rightfully so, rate 1 and if I could below that.

The fish was delicious. The burger was bland. The cheesecakes were good. Wasn’t expecting the $20 charge for soft drink refills since the drinks are not menu. And the server did not mention that refills were extra.

BEST cheesecake EVER!!! ? I suggest the white chocolate raspberry. You won't regret it. ??

Breakfast was very good on Sunday! Omelet was a good size and good price, service was great too! First time there, looking forward to going back and having lunch sometime!!

Been here multiple times. Love their wings. Husband had a bacon cheese burger, and he said it was good. Waitress is always nice. Only thing is they changed the way the wings are sauced, so I always have to ask for more.
